the same image was posted last year - i remember sharing it. so those numbers cant still be accurate today, a year later.

I think its sick but dont think the image will traffic enough to create that large of an impact.
 
how will this acomplish anything, people will need to get gas eventually so why would they lower the prices?

if i need gas that day ill get it, if not i wont.
 
people are kind of retarded arent they? do they think that them not buying gas for one day is gonna do jack shit? the reason gas dropped the next day in 97 was because nobody pumped gas for a whole day so naturally there was a fuckton of gas sitting around. buying gas on april 20th instead of the 16th or whatever the fuck it is does nothing. you still use the same ammount of gas and therefore buy the same ammount.
 
yay let's punish the small business owners of gas stations who have nothing to do with gas prices!
 
Gas is $4.50 In Tahoe, gonna be over$ 5 this summer i bet. What does that mean to me? move closer to work. that's it that's all. 75% of my gas is used to go to work an back.
 
crude oil is a finite resource and we are running low, therefore the price of gas is gonna rise either eay you slice it or dice it.
 
its not taking money from the oil companies. its just redistributing it to the days preceeding and following this "gas out" day.

its straight up stupid. dont like the gas prices? dont drive as much, or take pulic transit, or find a job closer to home, or find a house closer to your job.

that seems fucking retarded. If everyone drives equally without actually driving less it shouldnt have any effect on the cost of fuel. People will buy more on the 14 or 16th cancelling out any reduction in demand. If people really want to stick it to the oil producers, stop driving so much, carpool, ride the bus, hell walk/ride a bike for short trips. Just stop being so American! dumbest protest ever. HEY LETS ALL NOT BUY FOOD ON WEDNESDAY!! i bet no one will stop eating on Wednesday......is the demand for food now somehow lower? now if everyone fasted on wednesday we may be on to something.... maybe we shouldnt drive on april 15 at all.....

reminds me of watching my friend try to quit smoking. He would plan ahead to not have a cigarette on his drive home from work, and then be so proud of himself while smoking his after dinner cigarette.

They say "either pump it the day before or the day after" Does anyone have any common logic? It will give them a surplus the day before or the day after which counteracts the day that no one is supposed to buy gas. Which means they will be able to use that money they earned the day before, or the money they earn the next day to support the day that we don't pump gas.

For this to be effective it at least needs to be a whole month. That would kill the oil company's if we had a whole month of no one in the US pumping gas. But lets get real that could never happen.
