So sick of the warranty threads

And I know this is a repost... but the last one apparently was not thorough or robust enough...

Things 100% not covered by most warranties:

any damage caused by your skis being on anything but snow... And since that is quite hard to prove, if the core, edges, sidewall, or topsheet are shredded, ripped, or otherwise messed up, its probably not covered...

Things that are sometimes, but not always, covered by warranty:

Warping (not including giving your skis tail rocker), Delamination, and...... that's about it.

All the threads you see on here about warranty issues for ripped out edges, chipping, binding pullouts, and all that crap... That is not covered by warranty. Period...

So please kindly STFU and stop skiing in the park if you want your skis to last longer. If you want to keep skiing in the park, stop complaining about breaking your skis when you are pounding them against steel.

Here is an example of something that MIGHT actually be covered by warranty... (my skis)

I bought them in February. I skied them before/after teaching. So they have not seen much use at all.

As you can see, the tip of the right ski has more rocker than the left (it measures at about 2.6cm more). The second picture shows what I believe to be skewed fiberglass, which may or may not have contributed...

Any ski builders... feel free to chime in about this.

My thoughts too.
More seriously though, I have a feeling they would warranty something like that, it looks like a manufacturing defect.

That pattern you're seeing may actually be the intended glass, if they use some version of triaxial glass in the construction it could indeed look like that. Extra rocker is usually caused by extreme flexing, usually when you land something huge, and soft skis dont help. I'd contact the manufacturer and see if you can get it warrantied.

And this is a more legit warranty thread than others.

this thread is a paradox, first u hate on warranty threads then u turn it into one....seems retarded to me. GL with your ski's.

No, that is the only spot like that. The rest is perfectly straight/45/45 pattern, like it should be. Again I don't make the skis so I don't know. And I skied them in pow for less than a full week, and I don't land big switch, so it wasn't impact. And Usually one big impact breaks things, not bends them.

And I already sent these in. I am not asking for advice, etc. I am just giving people an idea of some sort of legitimate warranty claim, which is why I asked for ski builders to chime in.

And to everyone wondering why I have Roxy bindings... They are Rossignol PX15s with a different paint job. I think its bad-ass that they even make a 15 din lady binding. And I really don't care what my skis look like.

I have to agree with the OP. The last thread on warrantees I read was this kid who speared a box with the tip of his line's and was convinced that Line is a shitty company because a) there was an edge crack or something and b) they hadn't processed his claim fast enough. I couldn't help but say to myself, "what a bunch of bullshit." The moral of the story is, if your skis fly off your rack on the freeway, don't try to warranty them and especially don't bitch if they don't get warranteed. I guess you can complain all you want, but just don't make a stupid thread.
