So my school caught fire today...

So I was sitting in math class today, and the fire alarm rings. We walk outside and see a large amount of black smoke going through the air and a bunch of flames. Last week my school finished a bunch of renovations they'd been doing over the past 8 years, and spent over 2 million dollars on, and today they were up tarring the roof for some reason, and I guess it all caught fire. The roof collapsed from water damage which means I have 2 weeks off school according to some people. So yeah, I decided to share with you guys since to didn't get to read the couple hundred facebook statuses that were posted.

the only thing that happens to me at school is the fire alarm going off 16 times in one day. but yours is much more crazy.

im pretty sure thats what everyone fantasizes about whenever there is a fire drill as long as no one got hurt
 
damn. hopefully everyone got out. that's beat though that they spent all that money for that to happen though, enjoy your two weeks off man, even though you'll have to make it up.
 
teachers dont get paid during the summer. their contract ends for the summer so legally you cant extend the school year. so i think its just 2 weeks off school for you my friend
 
yes like a summer bonus kind of thing. but thast still when there contract is still effective
 
Yeah man there going to add days on to your school year now. If getting the school fixed takes awhile then you usually end up being put at the next closest school t'ill your school is ready.
 
that during ski season would be amazing

but i would definitely not care if my english classroom burned to the ground right now....
 
+k because there was a 'fire' at our school today too. like 4 fire trucks showed up but it was just like a sprinkler went off in the kitchen. i was math class too though and i had a test so we got to see all the questions and can study for it for tomorrow
 
she hand makes the test, like literally writes them out so maybe add something but nothing is gonna get changed and we had like 10 minutes in the beginning so i should be ok. plus its calc like wtf is she gonna change that isnt the same thing with different numbers
 
The alert system was tested today (college). One of the sirens sounds like the alarm that goes off in Facility in Goldeneye for N64 if you blow up the tanks and release green gas everywhere.
 
that sucks for your school man at my school a water pipe broke over xmass break my sophmore year turned a 2.5 week break into a month of skiing everyday for this guy and since it's a semi private we didn't have to make up any days
