Haing read a bunch of this, I agree its BS that you got shit to the extent you did. A reminder of the skiers code to both of you about being considerate etc would've been enough I'd have thought.
Problem is though, that this kinda 'Locals Rule' thing, seems to have become a bit of a problem for Alta in the past couple of seasons. Not saying that is what you were intending, but the whole 'Alta Pain Train' shit up on the Hight T and in lift lines, whilst mostly a joke between locals and very rarely actually towards day skiers, is starting to have a negative effect on the resort. You are on the harsh side of their attempt to put a stop to it by the sound of things.
I guess alls well that ends well though. But yeah, go for a new pass. Claim you lost it, even if they actually do charge the $10 or whatever for admin fees, it still means that if you have to show it on the mtn for any reason, you not so likely to immediately be on the end of shit. It'll help to diffuse anything, as there will be no preconceived ideas of you with a fresh, unclipped pass
