So my friend tells me he skis..

And im like no way. Because he hangs out with all my friends who ride plus he kinda looks like someone who would ride. Anywho he tells me this and im like what skis you got. Finds out he just rents and I laughed at him. But thats not what this thread is for. He starts telling us about him skiing and shit and then gets into this story about when he went off the trail. Goes kinda like this:

"So Im going pretty fast and I see a makeshift trail into the woods and I decide to go in. well im still going pretty fast and the snow is kinda deep so I cant turn good. All of a sudden I see this tree comming right at me and I stick my pole up to stop myself from hitting it and the pole hits me right in the face"

I laughed pretty damn hard at that. It is one of things where you had to hear him say it but I think the story is funny none the less
 
sweet. cause i bet you made him excited to ski even more. why don't you help him out and teach him how to ski better rather than laugh at him?

one time my friend was all like:

"dude im soooo good at snowboarding"

and im like "oh thats cool

" kinda sarcasticly. and hes like "no but dude im soooo good dude... even ask my dad"

so im like "oh where do you go?"

and hes like "idk dude but i went to vermont once this year"

and im like "oh"

and hes like "yea dude"

and im like "so what can you do like whawts your biggest spin"

and hes like "i dont do jumpy things dude, i just go really really fast"

hes no longer my friend
 
well here's your oppertunity to turn him into a real skiier give him some urban but still rideable skis and teach him a real sport

i laugh inside when people say stuff like that to me. last year i had hair like shaun white and people knew that i skied and snowboarded so they would always try to have conversations about it with me and they would be like "Hey did you see that cool spinny thing shaun white did in the x games last weekend?" i lose much respect for those types of people
