So marijuana is not being decriminalized, but this is?

at this point its pretty obvious that there are many "behind the scenes" govenment ties in keeping hemp and marijuana illegal. Its not about the health risks.

In fairness, I, personally, have caused more than $50 in damage with snow/ice balls as my ammo. Its not that far fetched.

Most definitely. Though I wouldn't say it's behind the scenes. It's drug enforcement. It's the extra dollars they get in taxes to pay for their task forces, dogs, vehicles, entire agencies, etc. in addition to the money they get fining people, the property they steal on busts, etc. etc. etc. The backroom deals with pharmaceutical, paper, and other companies are small fries in comparison. More thread relevant: What I think this case mostly shows is at least one example of politicians not actually being "for the people". It's easy to say this as an unemployed student with no huge responsibilities, but I feel there are a lot of things I would cut (including my own salary) to not let abusers go without any sort of consequences. That's disgusting.

hahaha this.

seriously though, this is sick. i've been blessed to grow up in a safe home with married parents, and zero abuse from them to me, and between themselves. the affect that it has on kids is insane, and obviously, terribly on the receiving end of the hitting.

anybody have more info on this? i doubt they're condoning domestic violence, probably just removing a seperate statute. i dont like it regardless.

i wasn't inferring that. i consider myself lucky to have married parents cause the divorce rate is 50%, and i was adding that they're not abusive.
