So it's suppose to snow, and i have a sled...

dude you ever watch the mtvU channel on tv? this shit blows chunks. it's all emo bullshit, this girl just threw a heart in a glass case down a well.scott cardoza eat your heart out. pun intended. oh nifty and as if there was any doubt as to how emo this channel is they just had an add about depression in college students. not to hate on emo or anything, it just sucks. oh cool now sum 41 is singing about how much they hate their parents and never want to go home. coooool. rant: complete

Do you know how much it would suck if you went up to Brighton and killed your sled with 7 inches of snow? But on the serious side, thats epic that you have a sled, so sick. I would save it for when there is more than 29 inches. The rocks are gnarllllyyy at Brighton.

Already asked.... he declined. But, I will ask again....

Just store that bitch in our garage, and tow us whenever you go up.

"The new Phazer is powered by a new 80hp 499cc fuel-injected liquid-cooled 4-stroke twin which makes its peak power at 11,000RPM. The engine is based on Yamaha's highly successful and dependable YZ250F dirt bike engine. With a 487 pound estimated dry weight."

yeah, Im thinkin not. Seeing that any modern ski-doo or arctic cat weigh 485 lbs dry, and the 600's make 120 horsepower, 7's and 8's make 140+ horsepower. That puts you at a huge disadvantage in power to weight ratio. I'm gonna stand behind what snowmower says, but hey, don't take our word for it, we'll see you at guardsmens, and you can prove us wrong in person...

We are going to get dumped on Friday into Saturday, the snow line is going to drop low into the valleys.

as a fellow newschooler- I would advise you to sell the PHAZER before you use it. U could sell it as brand new and probably make close to MSRP. As soon as u put miles on that thing your giving away several thousand dollars. The sled may have been free but i would look at it like somebody just gave me $10,000. I would not give away $4000.00 of it, but thats just me. You have got to look at yourself as the key beneficiary....... Just go to snowest.com and check out all the sick Arctic Cats with warrantees for around 5000-6000 with 01-500 miles. U could buy an Arctic Cat, put $4000.00 in the bank, and have a warranty that lasts longer then 30 days (+140-165 hp). If u like going to the SIX FLAGS aka"ski resorts" then sell the sled and put the $10,000 in a bond. One day it could be worth much more than that. You have got to put things into perspective: If you won a sweepstakes for a $10,000 dollar bond with compounding interest, would u blow it on a sled?

:O

perplexed?

^thanks for the advice but really i plan to sled to a jump spot, build a jump, and sled down, not brawl around like some hard core sledneck. I'm really not to worried about it.

i don't think u understand-- With elevation as the number one factor ur going to need double the horse power to even do that.

I dont think you understand, its not a big deal. Plus I've heard from multiple sources (people who snowmobile ALOT and work for snowmobile companies) and on the contrary my sled is apparently really powerful. I guess we'll find out the first time I use it.

I agree with snowmower, if you want to get to the spots in utah, you need a real mountain sled. The phazer is only gunna cut it when its hardpack. In the pow? forget about it. Sell the phazer to some barney while its still new, then buy a real machine.

Yamaha sent me that gay ass video last winter.... His wife is hot-- I like the apex mtn they sound really good.

as for you pussy footer: i suppose u like to learn the hard way- If this is the route u are going to take at least buy insurance........ Sled insurance is pretty dope stuff---

I agree with Snowmower. I would totally sell that sled for MSRP, put a few grand in the bank, then buy a sled that's a couple years old, but fucking sick.... And E-heath.... going to a jump spot involves more than just hopping on your sled and going. You may have to break trail, and if they're right you sled won't be happy. I know nothing about snowmobiles, but I do know you can get a badass used one for like $6,000.

alright, next dump ill meet you at the bottom of 400s and we'll race up to the campus on the snowy road, straight up.

yes pussyfooter, im going to give you advice from a exprience. my friend, who wieghs 98 pounds rode a very similar sled to the one you have. we had to break trail into buck ridge(big sKy). he got soo bogged down in the first five minutes, he had to go at the end of the pack, which was 6 sleds. keep in mind the trail wasnt steep at all, and he wieghs 98 pounds. im honestly not trying to be an asshole, but you dont wiegh 98 pounds...

I don't get why people are hating so hard on it, i have heard from like 4 reliable sourses that it is a good snowmobile ill trust myself when i ride it...

No one is hating, I along with snowmower would rather put 4-6g's in the bank and buy a way doper sled.  But it was free, so why be smart about an investment.  If you took the balance you could start a 401k and have a retirement fund, and buy a sled that would work wayyy better for what you are going to try and do.  Thats like a free retirement fund.  Its proven that if you start a 401k now, someone who starts one when they are 30, regardless of what they put into it, can never catch up to the person who started one at 20.

You don't get why people are hating so hard?  We don't get why you would be sooo negligent as to think a little bit, and make a really smart decision.  You are gonnna put miles on your 'free' sled, and make it worth about half as much as its worth now.  But who cares right, it was all free so it doesn't matter...I along with others just see your opportunity as one to capitalize on rather than throw away.  But I  suppose that is human kind.  Blow opportunities and bitch about it later.  Really, do yourself the favor, sell your shit new, buy an 01-03 Ski Doo Summit 800 and you'll be wayyyyyy better off.  Or don't, I'll be happy to leave your ass stuck anyday...

dude peeps are just trying to help you out. If you think about what they are saying you have a really good opportunity here to make some good scrilla and get a dope ass sled.

Damned sled has a recall on some pin in the steering system. Good thing there is no snow to ride on.

I'll give you 20 If I can borrow it all day. Thats gunna whup their bids:)   I was told that it would do fine from a few peeps, but Im gettin a 4 stoke, then I can tow u an ur sled for 20 a day

have you tried it out? i dont know anything bout sleds but after reading this topic i want to know how it worked
