The Tony Dungy era as the head football coach is now officially over.
He was an excellent football coach and the amazing thing is he still has plenty of years left to help improve communities around the country.
Yeah, I know what they are already saying, he will be back in a few years, but I truely think that the NFL has seen the last of Dungy on the sidelines as a coach.
It's amazing really to see how quickly he turned a franchise around, yeah he had arguably one of the best quaterbacks in the league and a great offensive line, but these players cannot coach themselves.
If you watch the NFL you have probably noticed how Tony Dungy teams act. I truely believe that the NFL will not be the same next year because of his departure to new and better things.
Sorry for the rant, but it makes me excited to see what Dungy will do next in his legendary career.
PS: Jim Caldwell is the MAN!!!! and Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots better watch out for next year, there is no more of the quiet conservative Tony, Indy is going to be better than ever with this new facelift.

it's a shame that he didn't win a ring with Tampa Bay... the year after he leaves the defense he built (one of the best ever if not the best) wins a ring under John Gruden and since then? nothing... That ring was straight stolen by the white man.

Dungy was a defense building mastermind... he turned the Colts pass D into a threat in one season. Simply amazing and one of my favorite coaches.

Ya he was one of the most Classy in the league and did so much to help so many communities.

Sad to see his son go a few years back too.

Jim Caldwell, he is or was the assosciate head coach, he was named the replacement last year when dungy left, i dont think they wanted to name him that last year but they had to cause he was one of the main people the dolphins, ravens, and falcons were going after last year... so to keep him with indy they named him the replacement when dungly retired.... he is suppose to be a good coach...
