questioning weather skiing is what i wanna do with the rest of my life... so i start watching the free skier pod casts and i watch the "reasons" trailer and it really inspired me... and skiing... it is what im gonna do with my life.

idk i just kinda had to get it off my chest.

anybody have an experience like this?

i could only dream of being able to do it for a living, but i will no doubt do it for the rest of my life whether it is a career or not..

Ever since I was like 4 I knew I was going to do something in the mountains and a few years ago i knew skiing was what i was going to do with my life.

I think that too many people want to be IN the ski industry. People need to realize that you need to have the insane ability or the best connections. However, you don't have to be IN the ski industry to make skiing your life. You can get good grades, get a degree in business and become a local manager at your mountain, for example.

Basically, what I am trying to say is that if your promo doesn't get the attention of Oakley or Line, don't give up. There are numerous ways to get involved in the ski industry, you just have to work at it!

i dont think he means he wants to get sponsered to ski for his life. i think he just wants to ski in general for the rest of his life. i want to get into enviromental engineering like "green" technology and shit and live in CO and just live my life and ski

i know im gonna ski for the rest of my life, whether im doing at as a living or not. once i graduate im goin to university and then after that im gonna take some time off to ski and see where it takes me. if nothing works out then i have an education to fall back on.

Yea, after I posted I went back and read it over...but I still think that too many kids get caught up in trying to get sponsored, and that there are more ways to get involved!

i am also in a point in my life where i have to choose what to do. and i looked to see what one thing made me truly happy and it was skiing and i think living without it would be hell

Skiing is without a doubt something i will do for the rest of my life, something i'll be sure to pass on to my kids. As for my life being devoted purely to skiing im not sure yet, right now im at the stage where im in college and iv decided that if i fuck this up or the economy is totally fucked and my career opportunities suck id still live a very happy life as a ski bum

Its like me with downhill biking. Its all I want to do, and minnesota limits me so Im moving to colorado to be a liftie in the winter and hoping the best for the summer so I can stay. Skiing is the second most loved thing

I love skiing, don't get me wrong, it's sicker than about anything, but I'd rather go to college and grad school, get a good exucation and do something more productive with my life. And I'll definitely ski for the rest of my life, just not like every day or whatever. I know most of you 14 year olds can't understand that but that's fine. No hate.

i'm actually 19 and i schedule my life around skiing. the only thing that pulls rank in front of skiing for me is loved ones..

i can have skiing be my number 1 priority and still not let everything else like school slip.. more power to you though man, you'll probably end up getting a dank as job that makes you lots of money, but to me the feeling i get from skiing is more important then money.

It's a good idea to do your best in school so you have an education for when you really grow up and decide to get a career.

like what im doing. Im taking a ski resort operation and management program. its amazing. ive learned so much already, its not all about skiing either, rather everything with a skiing focus. anyone wanting to get into the industry, i highly recommend this program.

Word. I'm in the School of Business Administration here at UVM, and I'm hoping to establish myself in the business up here in Burlington. I'm majoring in management, as well!

yeah, even though that would be amazing, I'm majoring in marketing/advertising and hopefully will be able to work with a ski company or a resort. then i'll get to work in an industry that i'm totally into.

i'm on the exact same page as you. when i watched the first trailer, someone-pep i think-said that whatever it was gonna take they were gonna ski. that just motivated me to do the same, be able to do what i love for the rest of my life

Ya, it's going to be hard this winter though. Being at Baker and all. Oh well, skiing and my girlfriend are my favorite things and it's not hard to make time for them while still working hard.

itd be so sick to be skiing even when im like 80 years old and do the rails and stuff
