So Im getting a computer for Hannukah

And right now I have an imac G5 17 inch. I want a macbook pro def. prolly 15 inches. BUt i just wondered what people thought I should do for extra ram and shit. i wanna be able to edit with final cut but im also gonna get an external hard drive.
So what are your thoughts on upgrades and shit

my 15inch is all i need...i got 2gb ram..2.2ghz...its all i need...atleast get 2gb ram..more gb ram better your comp is man...

upgrade ram if you can, but definitely get an external and make sure you edit on that. don't edit on the HD that your OS is on.

i have the 15 inch macbook pro, i'm thinking about asking for another 1GB of memory or whatever for christmas, but i keep literally everything on a 160 my book external hard drive so i'm not sure if i need it or not. i love this computer!
