So I skied my Bluehouse Districts…
Skier: Expert
Age: 18
Weight: 160
Height: 6’1’’
Bindings: P12
Boot: Lange World
Cup 120 (326 BSL)
Mount: Freeride Line
Location: Death
ribbon at A-Basin
So I spent a few hours on my
Districts at A-Basin (Saturday, 10/13).
Lets
just say these are definitely a conversation starter, I probably got ten
comments on them within the first few runs. I LOVED the way these skied. They
were really stable at speed (at least the speed I could get w/out losing my
pass), carved reasonably well, and ripped the hell out of the crud. (Keep in
mind, it was firm man-made snow with some bumps) The bamboo core has insane
amounts of pop. Jumping moguls or ollieing off the tails felt awesome. Skiing
switch was a little weird, and the half twin made me sketch on catching them.
The only problem I noticed were some decent topsheet chips, and I’m not sure
how long the pop will last. For the bigger guys, they will probably overpower
this ski, however, I can not wait to try some real lines and pow on these. Nice
work Bluehouse!Â
