So I might be attempting a 117' this year...

There's a 117 footer at a quarry near my house, and it's called Jesus. A few people have done it without getting hurt. I think one broke his wrist, but that's the worst that's happened (that I know of...). So I figure, "If they could do it, so could I." There's a possiblity that I'll go for it this summer, but before I make my decision I wanted to see if anyone has experienced a drop this big and what it was like? Any tips or helpful comments would be appreciated.

that's huge. you better have perfect form. and jump don't step, or you'll start tilting back. practice your technique off some like 60-70' first, and move up if you're comfortable

you better work up to it, or we will be reading about you in the paper. people jump off bridges in our area all the time at 90' and die from the impact.

Word, practice on 50-70 footers, there isn't much of a difference after a certain point, if you fuck up your toast...

if u use a rpg it'll kick u back enough so u slow down enough. then when the rpg blows up, by the time u hit the water, the explosion will make the water blow up and ull look like jesus reclining on a ball of water. imagine

Yea deff wear shoes. Also drop a couple big rocks in right before you to break the surface tension. You got balls, I wouldn't do anything bigger than maybe an 80.

what if he got a bunch of freinds to throw a shitload of gravel as soon as he jumps so that he wouldnt have to worry about a big rock on the way down? i think that would be easier, if it worked.

dont go over 80, thats just stupid. unless you are fucking gooooood at jumping, like you should be able to do an 80 without any pain everytime before you do this, because a back slap off an 80 could be a back broken off a 117.

On impact u'll b going 60 mph. keep ur arms n legs tucked tight or theyll rip right off. I've done 60 feet and thats about all i want to do. good luck.

yeah dude id make sure your landing is soft and shit when i hit that 235ft i sunk in like 4 feet and like broke my left leg it sucked i was out fot about 4 mounths but it was worth it dude...

water is gonna like shoot up your butt dude. the biggest arround me is a 60 foot bridge it drop it like its hot. i wanna go bigger

If I can remember weren't you the NS member who broke his back recently? I might be wrong. But just remember, your not superman and its not that big of a deal if you didn't do it.

Uhh the only thing I can think of is have some friends down there splashing the water around? But then you run the risk of landing on them.

the highest ive done is around 50-60

but yeah yours is almost doubble that

just jump and cross your arms and grab your shoulders so you dont slap with your arms

and wear shoes wich is sort of obviouse
