Options so far:

Rode Videomic

Canon 50mm f/1.8

16 gig class 10 card

Anything else I should consider? I'm shooting with a T2i w/ML hack. Current lenses= 11-16,17-40, 70-200.

I kind of agree, I'd rather have a pentax if I was shooting video, but Canon all the way for photo's. Its tack sharp stopped up and auto-focus is really quick on my 60d.

bought my rode videomic pro about a month ago. a much better improvement in audio from in camera. and just bought a 16 gig pro cf from b&h. good choice

get the old Mk i instead of the mk ii. Basically the same optics as the 1.8 with the same build as the 1.4. they usually go for like $180 used on ebay, but heres one of TPF for $100, which is a great deal, just as much as the mk ii

^was gonna pick up a spare UV, but I went with the sd card instead. Kinda with I woulda gone with the UV just so I wouldn't have to run another installation of ML -.-

^ the new release of ML is much better with more features and it's super easy to install now. If your still using an older ML release you should check out te new one
