I'm putting this in B/S/T because it involves a lot of trading and a final sale.
A few weeks ago, I got a skate deck from The Grouch at his concert in my hometown.. Unfortunately, I don't really skate. Now, I've been holding this deck since then, and have had no idea what to do with it. I thought it was such a unique item, that it might be a little more important then something sitting on the floor of my room. Then I thought, "Hey, auctions always have those things signed by famous people, and the proceeds go to charity, why can't NS do that?"
NS is a community of people that I think are all good people. The pros we all look up to are also good people.
I thought, I could somehow get this skateboard passed around through the pros, and they could each sign it, then pass it on. Then, as the surfaces become filled up, someone could purchase the deck, and all proceeds could go to a charity, that everyone would agree on.

If anyone has any questions/comments/concerns, post in here or shoot me a PM. I'm open to any and all feedback. I'd just really like to get the ball rolling on this.

 
How about having it end up with JP Auclair, then sell, then all the money could go directly into Alpine Initiatives?
 
Good idea, i would have maybe picked something skiing related but then again its kind of hard to get one ski, more to ship around, and the whole point of this thread is beause you got the deck and dont need it

Yeah, I thought about this too. I also thought a skateboard deck would be easier to say, hang on a wall or something.
 
i would personally rename / remake the thread to show people more of what it is happening / your idea...
 
wait until summer camps then just send it to to each camp and have all the pros at each camp sign it?
