and i ended up with a detention.. that my dean won't let me get out of, its conidered a disturbance of my class, and a "class 1 offense."

i shit you not. never in my life have i had to serve such a pointless detention.
 
by the end of grade 9 i had 292 unattended detentions, second highest in the school. /claim haha

just don't go. what're they gonna do?
 
i could pull that shit of in 9th and 10th but my school has become penitentiary, and with every missed detention you get one added on, 4 add up to half saturday 8 a saturday, and then you deal with suspension, its fucking bull shit. 1 fucking unexcused absence in a class is a dentention, miss a whole day and you've got a saturday. i'm really happy this is my last year.
 
grade 9 was junior high and i didn't get expelled in junior high.

but yeah that sucks that they suspend you man, how long are your detentions?
 
lol one kid in my class in 9th grade legit had 200 detentions. this i shit you not.

lol last year i got a detention for being on NS and not doing my work.
 
The record holder for most detentions is now our Dean. I shit you not.He had so many, he couldn't serve them within the year, so he had to put the irrigation in for all of the playing fields. A foreman came out and just told him exactly what to do.
 
just an hour after school, but i have 8th off so its a waste of two hours of my time, not to mention its on a fucking friday.

im not even as pissed about serving it, as i am about the man that distrbuted it. he's just a huge fucking prick. he's one of those teachers with a huge ego, so he thinks he's better than all teenagers, and likes to exercise his powers on students. he's the head of the department so the deans can't do shit about it.

i wish this man to a fiery death
 
my school, 1 detention- morning for 30 minutes before school, miss that or get another you get a hour and half on wen morning or after, miss 3 of those and you get in school suspension, skip school you can get expelled first time. new fuckin adminstration is gay as hell, they are leaveing the lights on for homecoming dance, how am i suppose to boner jam with the lights on?
 
at pep rallys the db of the band playing in the gym is easily enough to give temp or permanent deafness, lesson- dont let your marching band of 500 play in a basketball gym with your 1400 students there, also i can hear them practice at my house, thats 2 miles away
 
i don't even think my school should let our band play. they're almost sad to listen to when they can't even get our "school song" down.

i could fart into an oil funnel and sound better.
 
dude that fucking sucks, I can copy down my homework 90% of the time in class. And we don't get a detention for not having it. Thats a gay rule if I have ever heard one
 
after awhile, you will have to realize that high school is 100% absolute, complete and total bulllshit, it teaches you next to nothing, and you will forever look at it as 12 wasted, shitty years of your life, it sucks that your school is fucking retarded, but so is everybody elses, and there is nothing any of us can do.

the best things you can do is just grin and bear it, and lay low and try not to get caught doing bad shit.

i know it was a missed assignment in this case though, and that is a fucking retarded reason for detention; maybe you could try to talk to an administrator or someone, and explain to them (in polite, well laid out terms) that having to serve detention for a missed assignment is the stupidest fucking thing ever, and that they need to talk to this instructor and tell them to stop being such a douchebag.
 
That sucks. At my school, they call home everytime you dont turn in an assignment, and make u fill out a little slip with the reason why and shit. Sucks majorly because my parents are super strict about me doing my homework. its rediculous. And the worst part is that they dont take "I forgot" as an excuse. they dont get that sometimes we hav so much other fucking work that we forget about a stupid worksheet. anyways, school sucks. peace

At my school they call detention JUG (Justice Under God) and they give it out in 3's because it's a holy number. Laaame.
 
my school, they only give "lunch detentions" because theyre dumb enough to believe that were gona learn something by sitting in a classroom alone during our 30 minute lunch
 
Since when has public schooling had education in its best interests? It's nothing short of crowd control. If you were in charge of a bunch of little adolescents, would it be much different?
 
Detention is fun. The only thing school can really do to you that legit sucks is all day detention. I can't be alone with my thoughts for that many hours at a time, it fucks with me.

My school called detention the "Opportunity Room" lol.
 
my school doesn't give a fuck. if you skip a voice recording calls your house and says your kid was late or was absent from school.
 
at the end of the summer term i lit a sachool building on fire, by mistake, and after the summer they forgot and didnt give me a detention
 
in my old highschool 3 missed detentions became a suspension or 1 missed office detention became a suspension. i never got one detention. i was such a good kid.
 
well you got one extra detention for every detention you didn't attend, plus i wasn't exactly a model student haha
 
ouch.

In grade 8 i got a detention for standing next to my desk before the teacher walked in. Same teacher gave me detention for smiling at him while he was bitching the class out

those were lame.
