So how bad is my edit?

1. Don't use that song2. If you already know that your edit sucks because it has too much slowmo and POV shots then TAKE THEM OUT, then ask for a critique.

3. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I think your laziness to make the changes and post on ns is going to prevent anyone from giving you a serious critique.

In my opinion, i absolutely hate POV edits. unless its used in conjunction with an alternative shot showing the line your doing, no one can get a sense of size. and you only see the same thing over and over. thats my .02 anyway. not saying your a bad skier but 4-5 min of watching your skis and an occasional rock but its hard to see whats going on in flat light conditions.

anyway thats my take of pov edits

Same here, I can hardly stand 1 pov shot in an edit. If there are anymore that 2 I usually just turn it off

you could always switch it up and stick it on a pole in front of you facing you just to mix it up. you could always stick a gopro anywhere. just try random shots, some will work some might not but doesn't hurt to try it out

1. There's a single rule about edits, your broke it. Don't use Sail.

2. Gopro footage is boring, 4 minutes is even more boring. Cut it down to 2.

3. You want a variety of footage, a lot of that was pretty similar.

4. Work on shot selection. If the hill's flat, chances are people on NS don't want to see it.

Sorry if that seemed harsh, but those are the places that you could improve the most. Cut it in half and use an original song, it would be a better edit.

where was that? looking like you guys could have charged a few other lines then you chose pretty hard if you wanted to

This bad

Not a fan of POV edits. Having someone else film is always better. Sail, most over used song for edits. Do something different. Looking at you skis for that long isn't fun for us even though it looked like a blast. Has anybody ever thought to tilt the POV up to see out and not down?.?.?
