I missed the two that were on ZTV and I'm a little impatient and would really enjoy watching these right about now. Anyone have any info?
 
I know they aren't posted yet. I was wondering if anyone has like.... (this is going to sound really stupid...) secret links? hahaha Like if they are posted on some foreign site that no one checks like the first 2 videos that were released?
 
They said they'd be released starting the 16th and slowly all will be released by 26th. You fuckers need to learn how to read.

I'm guessing that those two videos that were posted before were not supposed to be posted then?
 
Not sure if you were for or against it, but it seems like a pretty good strategy to me. there are a lot of people that reallllly seem like they want to see the edits. The more people that whine about how they want to see them, the more hype the edits get.
 
Not to mention that there are multiple very good quality edits, with MASSIVE filesizes which need to be hosted on a server which can withstand a shitload of views in a very short space of time - that you can't just do overnight.

They probably don't want to give vimeo the easy publicity either
 
I wasn't sure too. I want to see those edits and I'll be looking after these vids when they'll be released because I'm sure that the skiing inside is one of the best ever,

I meaned that the edits are done since saturday and uploading them somewhere is not complicate at all. I'm bored with this event. They've been showing us every stupids things they have been doing for 2 weeks except the only tree things they are really good at and we were waiting for : SHUT THE FUCK UP, SKI AND GET SOME CRAZY SHOTS.
I think they showed us enough of look how cool they are and how cool life is when eating fast food 3 times a day.Maybe they could do some bowling or inside surfing vids right now. I'm pretty sure they re really killing it right now.
 
If they didn't think about the host then it's the funniest thing ever. But I m sure Jon did, and he already has two good hosts for his websites.
Oh yeah they prefer give easy publicity to shitty fast foods. Get fat kids!

NS.com are trying to push the NS video function as much as possible and get hosting away from things like vimeo and youtube, so it is the challenge of getting these videos hosted somewhere neutral or here - reliability is the key
 
Your probably aware, but the weather wasn't exactly brilliant for the two weeks, its not like they were just sitting around with bluebird skies outside.
And personally I found some of the lifestyle stuff (not all the surfing) to be interesting and at times hilarious.

im looking forward to seeing canada! i feel like everyone always underestimates canada. in all the joss predictions people were like: norway sweden and america and you would rarely hear about canada. glad you guys showed them and represented the country!

If I remember correctly, Schmuck claimed that all the edits would be released and viewable on NS by the end of the week. Do you know where you saw those dates?
I think most people are fine waiting, and in a way, it's sort of cool to build the anticipation. But, I think the frustration and confusion is due to the fact that there hasn't been any formal announcement, or at least not one that was highly visible. Info regarding the edits has been contradictory. Not to mention, two edits have already made their way on-line, so clearly they're ready. Remember, Jon has a videoblog that has been updated nearly daily for the past several weeks...and no offense, more than a few of those updates seemed incredibly pointless and self indulgent. It's just surprising that Jon hasn't posted anything since the comp, considering the excitement around the edits.
Also, last year the various edits made their way on-line through a variety of sources. Wouldn't each team be able to post their edits independently? If you remember, they were all pretty much viewable prior to being "officially" posted.
Jon could resolve this whole thing simply by throwing a date our way...I'd sure like one.
 
last year they were on freeskier along with the movie, and the finalists were on jonolsson.com. they'll probably be in the same place. there isnt that many people going to watch them, not anything like a popular youtube video.
 
If it's anything like the Voleurz edits or the vibe shown in Outdoor Education then it will be so sick. Darren Rayner is super creative as well
 
waiting for the edits is pretty frustrating, the majority of the coverage for the event has been a huge tease. Someone who is actually involved should step up and explain why they are releasing the videos this way and that thread should be stickied because I have yet to understand the purpose of this. This event has gotten so much hype, then you announce the winners and all the awards telling us how sick all the videos are, but then you make us wait and release the videos one at a time. JOSS has been and still is a huge tease. Its bull. Pretty shitty IMHO.

I consider my self lucky for having gotten to see both. I wish I would have tried to grab the streams before they went out of my cache (assuming they were cached).
Did anybody think to do this before the vids were taken down?
 
come on man thats so legit^^^^ did anyone find humor in one of the video sluts in team USA's video had braces?
