So a 360 just won the Fenway big air...

That was so tight though. Really cool to see this kinda thing win a big competition. I cant say that a below 720 trick has won a big comp in a long ass time

^ it was vinny doing some fucked up shit with a backflip 540 revert, kinda like the rodeo 180 that dollo was trying to throw

w/ a tweaked mute to revert. it was so dope.

Fenway big air made up for the shitty x-games. So much more entertaining. Hope they do it in Minneapolis or Chicago next year.

Kinda looks like he just bails the cork 5 in the middle of the air and then pulls off some ridiculous recovery

That is so fucked, how the fuck do you stop your momentum in mid air and revert another 180? Does Vinny even care about physics?

cool but ... a big air win? not sayin spin to win should take it but jeez.

for real. if it was clean then i agree, but with that arm flailing it can't be the best score of the night

He was already in first when he threw this anyway. Im stoked it scored so well tho.

Even a long gone trailer park methhead would be impressed by the tweak on that... Jesus Christ Vinny is next level.

NOT SPIN TO WIN!

Great, I can't wait for another "fad" to come along in comp. skiing... shits about to get stale.

I don't understand how I can watch a clip so many times, from multiple angles, and still have no idea what is going on

It reminds me of the one trick in ea skate. if you flip a certain way it defies physics/logic.

I want to see somebody do a 360 to opposite 360.

yeah, the announcers where so wrong. they said the twist made it so he didn't spin, but he still spun a 360

He doesn't spin at all, if anything he flips 360 yes, but he does a 180 one way, then reverts it back the other way.

just so everyone knows this is not the trick that won. this was his first run. the third run was the same trick but cleaner landing and no arms flailing

It makes sense in most categories.

Difficulty: that trick is very difficult and takes so much control and air awareness to do

Execution: Holy fucking style. He tweaked that grab like crazy!

Creativity: He was the only one in the field to do that, and it was so funky

Variety: his previous trick was a switch, on a different, axis, a different degree of rotation, and a different grab. It was very different from his previous trick

Amplitude: everyone went the same height. It doesn't change

Are there any categories I'm missing?

STRAIGHT UP, SOME DAY THERES GONNA BE PEOPLE PULLIN SOME SSX LEVEL TRICKS UP IN HERE. LIKE DUB FRONT AND DUB BACK IN SAME AIR YA FEEL

i thought the contest was tight but the jump could have been bigger. I like big air contests that just hitting the jump is gnarly in itself.

Did you hit the jump? From what I was hearing it was gnarly af to hit.

Given the event was on scaffolding I don't think the jump was all that small....

I mean if have to see it in person but the jump didn't look huge but it was nothing but ice and steep inrun with quick trannys

The jump was 47 feet. Just thought I'd throw that out there
