Snowstorms in Tahoe!

Finally, Tahoe gets enough snow to ski on. Resorts should be opening starting this week, and (at least I was excited about this) I was probably one of the first few people to ski Alpine this year.

To all of you California skiers who have been eager for snow and jealous of Colorado for already having some, get your skis and boots because it's finally ski season.
 
Oh yeah???!?!??! Well it snowed here in Big Bear Lake... Yeah, it snowed alright. It snowed for about 5 minutes. Beat that!
 
i gotta go pick up my alpine pass before they open or else theres probably gonna be a mad line. ive never had a pass there does anyone know how long it takes if u go to pick it up on like opening week or whatever?
 
While the new jibs at Alpine are pretty sick, that's hardly what excites me about the place. No out of bounds policy and a little munchies really does it for me. I live at Squaw and it's about to start puking snow again - in the valley! Those new jibs will, however, hold things over til the real stuff comes. Anyone know where the most snow fell so far?

True...the jibs for me are just current excitement-I love Alpine, and Squaw for that matter, mainly for the mountain itself...and I LOVE munchies :-)
 
yea, I checked things out and the new stuff at the the ghettos looks nice, and it will have to do between powder days.
 
How can any of you be even remotely upset when it's absolutely puking outside? Beats July right? I live on SV road and I can't even see the resort on the other side of the road. Now that should make everyone happy. Oh yeah, Munchies had snow as of this morning.
 
Damn.. not too much snow out of that storm.. too wet.

Its good to see it happening though, because soon that big storm series will hit and there will be 40 inches ready to rip on..

This season is going to be dope.

why does everyone on this site have to make fun of people for being overwhelmed with joy-aka claiming shit WHO FUCKING CARES? Making fun of claiming has to stop because I swear to god some kids have no fuckin personalities after they stop an insane trick. Props to Jf Houle in Skimatic by the way.
 
well, i think claiming when you stomp something get excited or whatever is cool. claiming to let everyone know how sick you are and being all full of yourself is another, thing, next time im not saying anything. after all BOREAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL is opening, so sick.

but its OK, i'll be skiing in Aspen for two weeks over Christmas/New Years. It better fucking snow like that then.
