LOVELAND OPENS FRIDAY

I live in aspen. The backcountry in Snowmass is sooo much fun. It is mostly accessible by lift. Last year we had a few really big snow days, and there is a section on the mountain that is just faced with cliffs all over. It is so much fun at the right time. A lot of people get up there when it snows. But when it does snow a good amount, it will last long enough to ski for a few days.

Hiked to the top of Snowmas last thurs and Ajax sat.

Pretty melted out below about 9K' but good on top.

Snowmass steeps OOB are generally east of Sheer Bliss lift. We'll prob wind up with close to a foot

out of this storm system. Friends in Durango are reporting killer dumps in the San Juans.
