So, in case anyone hasn't seen on Twitter today, Edward Snowden has created an account. Even better, he only follows one person...and that's the NSA.

For those who don't know who Edward Snowden is, he used to work for CIA and NSA. He started collecting evidence of how the US government has been spying on citizens and collecting information of their daily lives. He then flew to Hong Kong where he slowly released the information he gathered such as the Verizon scandal and PRISM through The Guardian, a newspaper in the UK. Once the US found out he had released this information, Snowden was charged with treason. He proceeded to flee to Russia where he was granted asylum and they refused the US's request to extradite him.

What are your all's thoughts on Snowden and the fact he has a Twitter now?

Apparently 615K people in less than 6 hours. This story is being talked about by every major newspaper/online media site. Also the fact that he's the most wanted man by the US injustice system.

So, I'd say a lot of people fucking care that he has a twatter.

I dont believe he is a traitor in the least bit, and im excited to see what hes doing with that project he tweeted about. The way he communicated for interviews like with Neil before this was pretty crazy.

Id love to see him post more of his thoughts on encryption, and free press.

And I think its a huge fucking slap in the face that the only person he follows is NSA, and what he said for his first tweet
