Snowboarders + Turf

Fail ^^^

My question was is it true that snowboarders cant hit a smmer setup with turf, because they have to stay onan edge or something. i need to know cause we're going to a friends setup tomorrow and i dont know if i should bring my boarding buddy. I remeber someone once saying that a snowboarder would rip it? Thanks
 
nah snowboarders can hit it. they just dont get as much speed. and make sure that they dont turn. cause they can rip it. it works much better for skiers but it is do-able for boarders.
 
speed isnt as much of an issue my friend almost went faster than me, its just it looked like it was really easy to slip out heelside because the whole no-edge thing...as for the no speed, you probably did not have much either...more soap/water/snow
 
all my snowboarding friends use my setup, and most of the time they go a tiny bit fast than me for some reason.
 
plenty of snowboarders hit my set up, and they get plenty of speed. the only thing that is weird for them is that they can't carve off the lip like they are used to doing, but once they learn how to pop off the lip with using as little edge as possible, its all gravy
 
yeah just dont try to turn, my friend did and just ate shit, his board slid out from under him and his face hit the turf

i have a 7 foot tall drop in that isnt too steep. maybe 30 degrees and as long as i use alot of soap it works fine for me and i snowboard. i dont get nearly as much speed as my neighbors do tho and they ski. u do have to pop off the lip and not carve at all tho but thats not a problem to me since i cant 270 onto a rail and i dont own a box.
