snowboarders suck, dont they? we (skiers) were here decades before these mutated punks came into exhistence. any true skier who has boarded before knows that skiing is much harder and looks a lot cooler. you can also do moguls on skis which is 50% is skiing. on a board, you cant do much... spins, flips, and grabs. what do you guys think?

 
skiing has grabs that are the same name as boarding and rodeos and mctwists and shit,if youve ever seen a snowboarding movie then youd realize that boarders like shawn white dont suck,christ he's only 16 and makes kevin jones look bad,snowboarding is what got newschool to be what it is today but not alot of people realize that

If moguls are 50% of skiing then I guess most of us here don't know what 'true' skiing is.

I don't like moguls and rarely ski that stuff.

I think snowboarders rip in powder, it's so flowing.

While yes we owe snowboarders some gratitude for bringing a new image to skiing and progressing newschool skiing to what it is today,

We don't owe snowboarders jack shit. It's mutual, if skiing never existed then there would be no snowboarding period.

dont bash on snowboarders, bash on sims snowboard company, they started the whole skiiers suck campaign. we shouldnt bash snowboarders we should accept them and be mature about it and show them through actions and not words that skiiers rip too

I don't bash on snowboarders, I actually ride with them a lot - but you guys gotta admit it, snowboarders bash on us a lot. when people hear your a skier, they think you are a little queer or something because as soon as they think of the word 'ski' they take it back to people wearing skin tight pants, pink jackets, and that ski with their asses from side to side like a monkey - not of kids doing sick tricks in the park or big mountain riders who rip

Now, i got a funny ass story. Over the weekend, they had a snowboarding slopestyle and pipe contest. both were sooo nice (we got to poach a few runs) but by the end of the day, it was shit. we were just doin real little tech jib stuff, and i wannted to jib one of those sled covers for ski patrol. thes two snow boarders were strappin in on it, and i asked if they could get up after they starped in. Real calm and cool about it. No! why? cause We hate skiers! look at you, with your preppy clothes and stuff! (i was wearing a Rotor jacket and pants, they were wearing American Eagle!) What?!?! skiings Gay! Hey! skiings cool, Snowboardings cool! just assholes like you who are two stupid to realize it. This happened up at the top of the park, and all my friends (skiers and snowboarders) started rippin on um. hilious! Every one was laughin thier ass off, so they rode off down and hit the first jump. Go huge! he went for some kinda grab, but missed. We were on the ground. funny shit

If you read the one freeskier that had the article about Sims ripping on skiing, you would have a new look on this. I personally like skiing a lot more, and agree it looks a lot cooler, but the freeskiing revolution owes so much to snowboarding. even some of the best pros out there admit they watch snowboarding videos to get inspiration for new skiing tricks. So even though skiing is still impressive, quit the hating.

wow, this is intense. so, snowboarding has progressed further than skiing (i watched a 2 year old snowboarding vid and they were already grinding cement and doing house jibs). that's a given. however, skiing is catching up. i mean, any idiot who watched the x games pipe comp can see that. i don't understand why the two sports can't just co-exist and feed off of each other. it's little fucks like you who rip on snowboarders instead of making friends with them and pushing each other to progress. yah i know it goes both ways (i.e. snowboarders ripping on skiers) but be the mature one for once, throw down, and shut them up.

also, if you watch afterbang maybe you'll gain some respect for boarding.

i don't know if someone already said this but, why the hell did you say 'whoever put snowboarding in front of skiing should be banished from the earth' or something like that. It's not like took the sport and did that. Skiing became lame after a while, snowboarding came along and people were looking for something new. Now skiers are doing some crazy shit, most of it was inspired by snowboarding. It's almost like they feed off each other.

I almost always ski with snowboarders. They always push me to try it. My thinking is why waste a day of skiing to go snowboarding and spend the whole day on my ass. No thank you. I'll stick with been strapped in to two boards not one.
