I had to make this decision prior to last season and I have to say choosing to ski was one of the best decisions I've ever made... I think it had to do with how comfortable I was on snowboards that allowed for rapid progression( used to speed and what not). I went from pizza skiing my first run to going down the black diamonds same day... By the end of the season, I could ski swith comfortably, 360 on decent size jumps, do butter box spins and ride rails easily. Not sayin this as a bragging point( this is nothing compared to most people!), but as a gage of how much you may expect to progress in the first season alone... On top of this, I was novice as far as snowboarding in the park goes... I couldn't do shit, so u can expect even more improvement. And I'm going to be honest, even just learning things the first day like how to turn, was more fun than I had ever had on a snowboard... And no more buckling and unbuckling bindings! On a final note, you spending more time watching ski videos may say something about what you were meant to do
