Snowblower maintenance

Snowblower users: I have rust on the auger of my Honda snowblower. Any advice on removing it during the off-season?

It shouldn't matter. If it bothers you, remove the auger, sand it, prime it, and put appropriate paint on it.

id probably just buy a new one, augers gunna be no good by the time snow starts flying again
