Snowbladers tearing up Breck

wasnt this site created because skiing got shit for representation and it was called lame. skiboarding or whatever its called right now has just the same step right now i think if any one of us went out there and did that for a day we would have fun turnin easy 7s or better.
 
hmmmm the kneissel bigfoot....the first mass produced skiboard ever made. Led the way for twin tip skiboards to be produced....which eventually led to the twintip skis that you love and own today. So I guess if you consider the history of twintips stupid....then yea they are pretty dumb.
 
that 360 switch up over the battle ship was at my mountain its weird seeing vids from people that dont even go to my mounatin. because my moutain is so small.

also, i dont know where you are from, but where i grew up skiing, there were a lot of punk ass kids on those that sucked at life, and were total dicks about it.

and then snowboarders lumped us into that category. and were total dicks about it.

so, in my life experience, bigfoot skiboards=total dick-ness.

And since when do people care what snowboarders think, or anyone thinks. Skiing isnt about caring what others think....and if thats the reason why you do it, thats sad...cuz its just about the fun/freedom you have on the mountain, nothin else. wow! i remember when i snowboarded and skiers got the same respect you are giving ski boarders. Snowboarders used to yell and scream at skiers for blasting through the park doing the jumps and whatever (there wasn't even rails in parks at this time in like '98, i know i'm old). Get over yourselves, it's sounds like sick shit, and you guys prob can't even pull a misty flip (well more than half of you). I used to rollerblade (inline, whatever) and was pulling misty's over pyramids and fakie (switch) misty's on 1/4 pipes, and cab sweatstances to 360 out on kinked handrails, that shit ain't easy. make fun of me for being a rollerblader, eat me, like i give a fuck, and like they give a fuck you guys are building up on your egos and sticking your noses in the air, listen to yourselves.

i see, but comparing the hate on snowbladers and snowboarders is completely different. Well the hate on snowboarders is pretty much gone, but the hate on snowbladers isnt really hate, its like we dont get snowbladers... Its the same thing, cept for their just making it harder for themselves essentially. By using ridiculously short skis your taking away your ability to go fast, ski deep pow, and land without washing out on jumps. its just physics. also it looks slightly retarded, but thats an opinion, and they might think its sick looking themselves, so i guess thats cool if they wanna be different, i personally just dont see the point
 
i actually think snow blades were originially designed for groomers, because it is really easy to carve turns on them and drag your hand, thats why you don't need poles, well also because they are short and just skate
 
There's a pretty big different between not wanting to do it yourself and actively hating on people who decide to snowblade. I don't really think surfing looks all that cool, but I would never actively hate on a surfer for surfing. I agree that snowblading doesn't look cool, and I would never personally seriously snowblade- but why would you go out of your way to make fun of people who do? It's their choice.. and it doesn't really affect you at all.

I just don't really understand the animosity... obviously they are having fun or they wouldn't do it. So why care?

i don't have much, if anything against snowblades/skiboards, until just a couple of years ago I even had some, but that rant was completely un-f*cking-necessary, you're just doing the same as everyone else, just trying to be the best to no real benefit. Just relax and let each be to their own.
 
most unabashedly unecessary claim in the history of unabashedly unecessary claims. I have not an ounce of hate in my body for snowblades, ski blades, or whatever new term arises for short skis in the years to come. However, claiming a ski blade group assault is outrageous.

i dont snowblade and dont plan on it but most peepl who dis snowbladers are gay. they do alot of the same stuff skiers do, but have to have perfect balance. im pretty sure cuz of that wen their on skis they stomp everything cuz of dat
 
he's just referring to the irregularly high level of riding that goes down in summit county on a very regular basis. no knocks on you or your friends.
 
i skateboard. i think bmxing is goofy. but do i go around calling bmxers stupid? no. each person has their own views on what is "cool".
 
Watching skibladers is like watching a midget play baseball. It's not nice to laugh but it's just too damn funny to resist.

I have no beef against snowbladers/skiboarders, but I seriously think it looks like a joke. It's probably the ugliest thing to watch on the slopes. No hate, just sympathy, because if they would just put on some full length skis they would probably be damn good, and actually be worth watching and marketing, and might get some acceptance.

And to all the skiboarders and snowbladers who are hating the hate, you're on a ski site filled with teenage freeskiers who share not much more than the love of the slopes and the love of making fun of snowbladers. Expect it and get over it.
 
The only snowlerbladers I have ever respected were some inner city kids who had never skied before and were in my park hiking the single jump and throwing some 3s. Unless you are a poor kid who doesn't know any better you have no excuse to be on a pair of those things.
 
honestly, i think its sick when they can actually throw down....but most cant. You dont have to like it or do it but at least give them repect for having talent. It is harder to land on those things and rails are harder too in my opinion. If they can do all the shit they do on those on skis as well then somone needs to throw them a contract cuz it proves they have mad skills. different strokes for different folks.

there's this one snowblader at my hill and everytime we see him from the lift we holler at him. he shreds. it's funny to watch him ski straight down a mogul run. but seriously even though it looks dumb they're just having fun like everyone else. they can do whatever the hell they want. why hate?
 
haha a buddy of mine is on REVEL8. He rides some revels or rebels or seomthing but he gets them for free all the time. He got a free trip for like a month to switzerland with the team two years ago..i wouldnt complain. he rides skis when he is around here and does blades when he is with his team..
 
people who say that hating on snowblades now is like hating on snowboards 5-10 years ago are idiots. People hated on snowboards because they thought the people that rode them were punks, and were always up to no good. People also thought snowboards were dangerous, and they were uncontrollable. I think 99% of the newschoolers population would agree with me that we dont hate snowbladers because they are punks, we hate them for their big ovaries. They are gay, not "dangerous

I was stating that snowboarders used to give skiers hell for being in the park because it was snowboarders only, no skiers allowed.

These guys arent the usual gaper snowbladers that cut infront of people and act gay. They have skill and there just trying to progress the sport. Why hate. When skiers first started to ride the parkthey were hated on. Snowbladers are kinda the same there just proggressing the sport. Dont playa hate congagulate
 
Whether snowlerblading, ski boarding, snowboarding or skiing is cool is irrelevant. Clearly what's important is how cool it is to dislike someone else's sport. Does this really disturb everyone that much? Disrespect, whether snaking peoples runs or hating, isn't exclusive to ski boarders - just ignorance.
