Snowbird + Solitude Opening?

im pretty sure snowbird is just for a tram ride, not to ski at the resort. But thats sick that solitude is opening.

nope, call the snow phone, says it will be the last weekend to ride the tram just to ride the tram. says NO skis or snowboards will be allowed. bring a big backpack with ski blades in it

If that is the case, then I wonder if they are planning on opening next week. This is my reasoning:

originally Customer Appreciate Days was supposed to be open for Customer Appreciation weekends, 10/31

& 11/01, as well as 11/07 & 11/08, from 11am to 5pm with projected opening day as November 21st.

HOWEVER

If they aren't going to stay open 11/07 & 11/08 for Customer Appreciate Weekends, then perhaps their opening day got bumped forward a bit?

hype hype hype!! i have a friend who knows an electrical worker who works up there and he has heard rumors of them opening november 6th so your assumptions may be correct. anyone know anything else about this?

i cant remember, me and my buddy went up that first snow, tried to get on the tram and they were like nope, go to alta. we hiked up anyway and shredded some powwwwwww.

im going up to get my season pass on monday, ill try and pry some opening day info out of them.

yep alta is the place to be!! so much fun. and maybe with snowbird they dont want people destroying the base? i dont blame them if that is the case.

I don't think it is going to happen anymore..their site is updated saying:

"The Aerial Tram is open for Customer Appreciation Days

on November 7 and 8, from 11am to 5pm (conditions permitting). Just

donate one non-perishable food item or $2 per person and receive a

complimentary Tram ride! All donations will benefit the Utah Food Bank

and the Wasatch Adaptive Sports Program."

last year opening day was scheduled for the 21st and they opened around the 7th, so its possible i guess
