Snowbasin Open?

Hey everybody, word on the street is that snowbasin will not be having the dew tour slopestyle course open to the public. We are all aware that other resorts after major events, have open events for everyone that could not qualify for the main event, such as the X games/ Aspen Open. It sucks that an potentially amazing slopestyle course and half pipe may be built just an hour or two away and none of us will ever be able to ride it. If we all shot Snowbasin an email stating that we want to ride the course, an open even would benefit them by introducing a whole lot of kids that have never skied there before to their mountain and getting more media involved exposing them to the public even more, we might get a chance to have something set up if we make enough noise. Here is a link to their contact page, as a freeskiing community, lets do everything we can to take advantage of what they are setting up at snowbasin.

Thanks!

its got to be thier insurance. theres no way they would build that and not open it unless, leagally, they couldnt

dont fill up the inbox, so dont send an email to them saying that. the park/pipe will be open for about a week or so after the event, the big park will be moved to strawberry, and the pipe will most likely be taken down, and thats thats, unless around 100 kids buy season passes and while buying them go in and say they want the park.

buying them and saying you want the park never does anything walking in with a piece of paper that says I won't buy a pass unless that park is open to the public sign this saying it will be, and heres your money, that actually makes them feel somewhat morally obligated. I personally have gone there bought a pass to ride their super pipe as it was the closest to my home they told me it was open. they pulled my pass for ducking a rope to go look at it, the damn thing wasn't even built yet.
more to the point, most resorts in utah all have the same insurance provider, and in reality are on almost the same plan so if PC has it open to the public any other resort can too its not their insurance that won't let them do it. its the willingness of the resort to maintain it.
