Is this too early for a preseason session? I am tempted to bring some pvc up to timberline this weekend

Yes 36" might be not enough base for SICK rail hits, might have to wait till there is a base of atleast 40
 
People keep sharing this image but nowhere in the forecast is there 40” of snow. Looks closer to 6” maybe which would still be cool

Yeah I knew it wouldn’t be that much but it’s still something

Probably moved north since it was posted, but GFS still has almost 50in for baker over that period. Bachelor area has like 18in snow and .8in rain at 6k ft, assuming 10:1 ratios, go high enough and it could be 25-30in storm totals.

yeah thats the spot. Timberline sometimes kicks people out of the first clearing so just be lowkey and maybe go further down into the trees if you have to
 
Every time this happens back east I get a little worried. Snovember in 2018 was awesome but we preceded to get no snow after thanksgiving basically. Doesn't mean it'll happen again though I guess.

well on the east coast we just dont get snow, ever
