We're getting shit on. This is ridiculous. I went down to Aspen from Denver last weekend to visit some family and got stuck here all week. Almost 40 inches in the last 7 days here and another 18-36 expected by late friday. I tried to leave on wednesday and my car spun out on black ice, hit a concrete barrier and now i'm back here again skiing pow until friday since i already missed all my classes this week anyways... Other than my car being out of action until mid march....... goddam this year is amazing.
 
this is the most snow statewide since 1997. this season is so sick!!!!!! i love it. Dunno how you would get stuck up there, there have been a few nice days to drive back.
 
seeing as your home mountains are the denver area. the weather is a little differnt up there. it's been snowing non-stop since i got here last friday night with the only opening in storms being wednesday when i tried to leave. but yeah, fucking awesome season.
 
Ya the snow hasn't stopped since the year began. Steamboat's passed what we had total for last year, as of today we are at 353" and we are forecast to get 8-14 tonight. My legs are in the best shape ever after skiiing all this pow.
 
Dude, Summit county gets tons of snow a lot more than aspen. Come on now. its not that much different. Been snowing here almost everyday.
 
Dude people from tahoe know way more about snow than the people who live here! What are you thinking!?!

I can't believe how much people were complaining in November, it was okay then and now it's just nasty.

but yeah, i don't know why people were complaining back in pre-season. it was just normal, nothing exceptional but nothing horrible.
 
and what are you talking about? snowmass has double the base anywhere in summit county has and both have been having a good year.
 
Aspen has been gettin hammered this year, it seems each storm has hit either the south or the north, but they have been gettin hit by both. Either way, everyone in colorado is having great snow.
 
i admit i was complaining in november, but it's my first year here so I dont know whats up. I cant believe all this snow. I was just on Beaver Creeks site and it said this was the most snow they've seen in 7 years. But I mean... everywhere is getting snow. Tahoe, Washington, BC. This is an amazing season all over
 
Yeah man, the storms from Tahoe usually come out to CO, at least to southern CO. so if tahoe is getting hammered, expect to get hammered here soon after.
