Snow Watch 05/06

i dunno guys, i have a bad feeling about this!!! lets just hope that thursday and friday treat us well.

Tuesday night... Rain and snow likely. Snow accumulation up to 2 inches. Snow level 3500 feet. South wind in the passes around 10 mph.

Wednesday... Rain and snow likely. Snow level 5500 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures near 40. Southeast wind in the passes around 10 mph.

Wednesday night... Rain likely. Snow level 7000 feet. South wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday... Rain likely. Snow level 7000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures near 40.

Thursday night and veterans day... Showers. Snow level 3000 feet.

Friday night through sunday... Periods of snow and rain. Breezy. Snow level 2500 feet.

Sunday night... Snow and rain. Snow level 3000 feet.
 
this front thats coming in on wednsday night and thursday may actually turn out to be good for us. itll freeze over our bases, making nice hard cold bases.....hmm, i still dont like the rain, but whatchu gonna do?! just as long as its not alot of rain, all is well
 
but see, if it just snowed a lot, the snow would compress and compact making for a nice solid base, without all the misery that rain can bring
 
oh grant dont doubt me, i would much rather it just dumped all the time and compressed that way....but when the rain wants to pee on us we can only hope for the best!

With my nice new vicous I dont care about whats under the pow because I just float on top. unless of course whats uder the pow cuases the avy that kills me.

hey anybody wanna hike deep into the backcountry and hit some sick 60 degree slope lines on wedsday and thursday??!!!!??!!!
 
something tells me thats a bad idea. Unless your just gonna build a jump.

The next two days are spose to be warmer. Snow level will rise, and there'll be avalanuche conditions.

wait a second.....laughdamon, where did you get those snow levels??? on the wsdot site for stevens, the snow levels are all below 6000 up until the end of the forcast, with lots of snow coming our way....
 
I just was listeneing to the weather AM station, snow tomorrow and tomorrow night in the passes, freezing level down to 2500, below 30 degrees tomorrow with 10mph winds all tomorrow. Saturday its going to be 20 degrees all day with 8-16 fresh overnight from a freezing level of 1000 feet.
