Snow Rituals

The snowpack throughout much of the West Coast is no bueno (that means not good for our non-Spanish speaking readers). Here in Tahoe, our resorts are 50% of what they should be this time of year. From what I can tell, our friends in Utah have it even worse. Colorado is a little below average and the east coast and midwest could always use more snow. I blame those bastards in the PNW for stealing all our snow this year. Screw you, you coffee-loving, triple-IPA hipsters.

It seems like my hopes and prayers and snow dances aren't doing the job around here. I need something a little more drastic to get Old Man Winter to dump his load all over me. Black magic? Witchcraft? What are your rituals to make it snow?

Maybe just maybe all of it, the ancient Nords strapping wood to their feet, the armament of 17th century European soldiers with skis, the advent of the chairlift, the formation of the modern ski resort, Ed Lincoln, extreme skiing, Glen Plake, snowboard parks, the halfpipe, Shane Mconkey, the Canadian Airforce, Salomon 1080, Guatemalan Persuader, Mick Comte, Gorilla steeze, Simon Dumont vs. Tanner Hall, X-Games, Junction 133, 4bi9, Shredsauce, Stept, the Olympics, Magnus, ON3P, Vishnu, Instagram skiing, new wave,

has all only ever been about how baggy your pants are.

Leave for vacation, go somewhere warm. Dont pack any warm clothes for your arrival back home. This has happened to me 3 times, left for vacation to Lake Havasu or Vegas in January and come back to large amounts of snow on the ground and only having shorts and flip flops to wear.
