i live in this shitty town that never gets snow and i was wondering if anyone knows a good place to buy a snow machine or a place to get plans for them +K for people with good suggestions

what is the average temp where you live in the summer. If its not too high the snow from the ice rink will last a while as long as it is insulated well. I live in a desert and the snow can last for a couple of days. I worked it out once and i found that it is cheeper to rent a truck out instead of buying your own machine but that may just be due to the dirt cheap ones i can get here.

check my pics. its really not that hard.

water source + pump + some kind of nozzle contraption + compressor = snow.

whats so expensive about it?

the fan came out of an old car, the barrel/housing was scrap from drain construction, couple old rubber hoses, the frame is just signs we ripped out with my truck, motor was from a scrap washer, nozzles are from the mountain - we asked and received, already had a compressor, valves and what not are free if you know plumbers, and the water source is a near by creek.

voila

if you have even a little bit of mechanical knowledge, its not that hard. find something that pumps water to a fan and wait for it to get cold lol.

i didnt have any plans really.

www.snowathome.comwww.buildasnowgun.comthere cheap, you can make one for 100 bucks, or you can buy the same thing for 500. so make one, make sure you have a compressor and a pressure washer. so, +k please

I am currently working on a snow gun for my Engineering/Senior Project. I had to build one with a stand and do all sorts of testing with different nozzles and pressures. I came up with my own design and was actually running it today, it was also in a big science fair yesterday. PM me if want any info ill deffinetly help you out!

A powerwasher itself wont work, it doesnt have the air pressure by itself, you also need a compressor, it helps kool down the surrouding air.

well i know i need an air compressor with it but will it make snow if i had the power washer hooked up to and air compressor?
