well u can make one..someone made a thread about this...u need like an air compresssor and lots of water and really cold temps out...its not that expensive I dont think

they can totally b made...u just gotta have some bling for the equiptment..and if u r making the whole thing, u would need access to a welding machine

 
i'm not talking about that kinda snow gun i saw it on site a while ago u just connect it to a garden hos and u r set anybody know da site adress etc

i made a homemade snowmaker, it will cost about 30 bucks plus the compressor. go to whdh.com and then go to weather. then click on homemade snowmaker. it will give you a stocklist.

 
you can also go to the forum catagory page here and type 'Homemade snowmaker' in the thread search thing.

http://www.whdhtv.com had directions on how to make your own snowgun. It's kinda dangerous and requires some skills, but you could pull it off if you were dedicated enough. You will need a compressor...

Don't even think about taking one from a ski area, you need a mega amount of compressors and water to supply them.
