Snoqualmie instructing jobs

So I'm looking to do teach some ski instruction classes at snoqualmie this year. Anybody have suggestions on who to do it through? And it has to be a school that supplies a seasons pass, as that is the whole reason I'm doing it. Also, are there any requirements besides going to the job fair, or will they all be for afterwards?

Don't do it, you will regret it. You won't make any money and you will never get to ski. Just buy a pass, they're mad cheap and ski instead of working. You can work a real job for a quarter of the time and make the same money.

i did three or 4 seasons instructing with mini mountain. worked one day a week for 2 months. pass was only 54 bucks for the season too

dont do it!! i worked there about6 years ago forlike 2 seasons (actually Ski MAsters but still at snoqualmie) and it SUCKS...after that i taught at crystal and they're a little better, but my dad has taught for Stevens and i think that has sounded like its the best....also a sick mountain

even if you live in seattle or the greater area, you can get to eitther stevens or crystal within 2 hrs..and both provide a good amount of perks ; free pass, disconts, free shit etc.

Yeah I've heard working for Stevens can be alright. I worked for summit learning center for two seasons and it was super lame. We got half of lodge food though and there was this exchange thing where you could get lift tickets for baker/stevens/crystal and a bunch of other spots but you had to arrange it a week ahead of time so it was kind of a bitch if you are the kind of person that goes on spur of the moment ski trips. We could also ride crystal for free on week days without arranging it ahead of time which was pretty cool..

But really I would go to work from like 7 - 5 and only end up clocking like 4 hours lots of days it was super lame.

That's kinda what I'm looking for though. Into on a bus to crystal 6 times each year for school so I know the schedule in December so it will be easy for me to get the tickets a week in advance. Plus then I can probably get my parents to reimburse me the Money it would have cost (they pay for the bus expenses) so I can go up other times

Yeah if that's your situation it might be right for you. I'd say work at central because they have the most options for hours and they usually have more than enough staff so you won't be getting asked to cover shifts constantly. Try to work the least amount of days possible and still keep your pass and don't even bother trying to make money. You can do like one day a week or even one or two nights a week and still have a lot of time to ski while you're in school especially if you're going up at night.

You're still living with your parents so having a job up there is always a good excuse to go ski instead of taking care of other responsibilities and then you can ditch work and slash! That's what I did and I came thisss close to getting fired and losing my pass, it's all about walking that fine line.

You want to work for SLC though to get all the benefits, all those other schools are a complete rip off from what I've heard and get ready to work with some obnoxious gaper fuckheads that are going to get all the good lessons even though they suck ass at skiing because the kiss massive ass.

I work for the SLC at Snoqualmie. It cuts hard into your skiing time, but hey you get a free pass and get paid to ski, works out in my book. If you really wanna charge hard in your skiing this season then I wouldn't recommend it but if ya need the skrilla then go for a job, they aren't the hardest thing in the world to get but you gotta know your stuff.

The year by buddy started teaching at snoqualmie was the year I stopped thinking of him as a skier....... Don't throw away your favorite sport.

Yeah, I went through Snoqualmie's teachers assistant program and then went on to teach dailies and some consecutive week stuff. I quit pretty quickly cause I didn't get to ski very much (biggest reason), didn't get paid jack (gas is costly, and even if I brought lunch which was necessary for the longgg lines I would just about break even, maybe be at +$10), and missed out on my saturdays (again, for what, $10?).

I quit, and am much happier. :D

.

My years at snoqualmie in high school caused me to hate everyone that works there. Its soooo whack working there.

The pass is what like 300 for unlimited? Fuck it just buy one. You will spend more in gas and bullshit costs than you will make back working there.

One day I got called into the office and my boss told me that other employees had witnessed me smoking marijunana and wouldn't tell me who saw or anything else about the situation I just had to sign this paper admitting that I had been smoking and promised not to do it anymore.

Like three weeks later the fucking head boss dude came into a meeting to announce that they just found "a backpack full" of weed in someone's locker and handed him over to the cops and he was gonna get busted for intent to sell or whatever. Immediately everyone in the meeting starts applauding and hooting and hollering about it like it's some amazing victory, my jaw straight dropped and then I clapped a little too so I wouldn't look suspicious.

I used to work the ticket booth out in the far end of the parking lot at alpental when i was like 16. I used to fall asleep every day, and people would knock on the window to wake me up. Needless to say I had plenty of free time to do whatever I wanted.

I work at Fiorini and can honestly say priorities go like this:

1. Skiing

2. Drinking

3. Teaching

I pretty much love it, work 7 saturdays in a row total, teaching the same kids, and ski the rest. Plus tons of personal ski improvement opportunities.

webb ski is super legit, they do the most partying, the most skiing, and spending the night is free, last year i was able to ski 3 days a week

sooooooo true, but we dont have a full suit and can wear tall ts at the same time! We also just convinced jim webb (the old man in charge who likes those coats) to get use new TALL ones!

mini mountain wasnt bad at all. all we had to wear was a bib too. super chill over there. or at least it was. i dont know what its like now. when ed kiser was running it, shit was rad

i worked at webb ski last year and it was alright. the people there are pretty cool and you get a place to sleep with minimum wage haha. but from what i have heard about other ski schools i think i would only want to teach at webb ski if any thing because like i said before you get a place to sleep and can work almost when ever you want or as little (if you plan it out with mike) and you are right next to the park which is nice. but last year i worked with some friends and that made it allot better. all in all if you wana work up at summit call or email webb ski. it does take up alot of your time and thats why i might not do it for the hole year next year...

im doing it next year, i earned about $600 and only paid $60 for the season pass, for every hour i taught i got about 2 hours of skiing, about 10 hours a week. The parties could get really funny
