Snoqualmie is for poor people and closet yuppies!!!~

Haha, why did this get downvoted?

People are so serious around here.

Thanks for stopping by Scott, I can now consider my thread official.

My pass will shortly be rolled over so I might actually ski here this year.

All things considered bro you got a pretty good year to miss by getting hurt, glad ur pass got rolled

Over/under on an average 3000ft snow level all season?

El Niño? I say over. November-April. That little boy is gonna piss all over your parade. Mine too, but in a more shitty freezing variaty of misery.

Hey guys, so I am looking to move to the area for work possibly for the upcoming winter, I was wondering if you had any idea where I could find housing? I would very much appreciate any recommendations. Cheers

Are you looking for a place on the pass or down in seattle?

Pass ideally, but Seattle is a possibility. With Seattle its easy to find a place just because of the amount of housing there. I was wondering if there was a local paper or something where classifieds are posted?

Local paper? What year is this again? Craigslist would be a much easier place to start.

There are lots of suburbs between Seattle city limits and Snoqualmie pass, especially if you travel north or south. Each has its own pros and cons and unique residents.

they go rid of the pipe and shaped up the big jump line.

Did they actually fully remove the pipe? I wonder if they're going to do something with that space...

They got rid of the Zaugg a few years ago, so imagine this would have been the next logical step. I wouldn't mind seeing them build up some decks where the pipe was and add a rail section through that area. Especially with the lights there, I'm blind as fuck in the dark and hate how dark it gets around some of the rails at night.

Does anyone know if Snoqualmie has policy about skiing with your cat?

Already have my pass, but I don't want to have a faux pas.

Yep, that is the best lit area on central park.

Are you Pat?

What in the fuck. That's one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

Saw Alpy is adding more lights to the lower half of the mountain, anyone interested in some headlamp laps?

oh hey guys.

they are giving me a pass again, so i'll see you all around and maybe point my camera at you

For real though, anyone have any opinions on the new lift at East?

I work at east. I'm not too stoked about it because it goes right up the best run on the hill. BUT you never know, maybe it will be awesome. At least it's a brand new lift instead of a salvaged pos so maybe this season we won't have to evacuate anyone off the chair. Here's to hoping....

Plus they suck at doing brush cutting at hyak, it basically doesn't happen. we need it more than anyone, so maybe with the new chair it will open up new terrain. On the other hand I like being the red headed step child of the summit. It's what makes that place awesome.

oh hey there sklar.

You should come shoot at baker some time:)

Toured a few laps at summit central yesterday. It was...thin, but worth it to get a few turns in.

Skied some thin hardpack yesterday at summit west. Some of the ungroomed side stuff was still decently preserved by the cold temps this week. Might try for touring up Kendal knob or up alpy tomorrow. PM me if you have avy gear, some BC knowledge, and want to join. Forecast this weekend looks like sat will be the best day, rain Sunday.

Drove by Snoqualmie today, looked super sick

Went up to Summit Central and hiked the little rails on New Year's day. The whole hill was just janky twigs and rocks then greenhorn was all perfectly manicured haha park crew slays.

So from anyone brave enough - how is this it up thur?

i drove across the pass on sunday,

needless to say you probably won't need to worry about lift lines.

I'm sure you can have some fun, but it won't be over great coverage.

better than a decade ago though, admittidly the super pipe and rails they had up ten years ago were super fun.

I was up on Saturday. Absolutely terrible coverage. There were a few times when I skiied through a patch of twigs, only to look back and realize that there was a 2 inch thick stump sticking through like a foot from where I was.

You should probably only go there for park from what I've heard. I'll probably go up to visit B-rad at some point but the weather keeps being shitty every time I think about it.

Do you know if they have a park set up right now? I know there was on Saturday at central, but its closed now. I have to go up next weekend so I guess I'll find out then.
