So I just found out that I got into Southern New Hampshire University. Just trying to see what other NS go there and what the school is really like from a students perspective and possibly some tips. I'll more than likely be attending this fall as the class of 2018.

Shoulda gone to Boston College man (Freshman there), total lack of NSers there. Ive seen your crew at Wawa, but im pretty shit compared to you guys haha

go further north if you can, SNHU isn't a great school and the further north you go the better off you are

don't go to plymouth, its not a great school and the people are kinda f**ked up. Try Green Mountain state, they have a ski resort management program that bases you at Killington

warped view on what college is, party too much and gotta love the PSU commercial that says they have great academics, anyone can get in PSU meaning academic standards are pretty low

go to Keene State. Tons of people shred, and you are and hour and 15 minutes from Sunapee, Okemo, Stratton, Mt Snow, Killingotn

It really comes down to what you are looking for in a school. people need to stop getting wrapped up in going to a 'better' school. Just because you go to a school with a 15% acceptance rate does not mean you're going to get a job out of college. It really comes down to things like being able to talk to people and being able to perform under pressure, things that you can learn at any school.

Another thing i see people do is go to schools that are way outside their financial means. No job is going to dig you out of 100+K in debt within a reasonable amount of time. Go to a school that has the program you are looking for, is affordable, and is a place you can see yourself spending the next four years.

and plymouth too! fuck the haters.

Newsflash- you will find "fucked up" "party too much" kids at any school. So your argument is invalid.

PSU has one of the best meteorology programs in the country, and their business program is on point too. Most classes are

...Most classes have less than 20 students (17-1 student/faculty ratio). and to top it off you are 30 minutes or less from 3 ski areas. It ain't no harvard but for a small state school they do a damn good job.

OH NO GOD FORBID PSU AND KEENE ACADEMICS AREN TOP TIER!!!ONEONEONE. Guess what? I turned down Champlain College and UVM for PSU. And I garuntee my degree will be worth the same from Plym. As it would from both those VT school. Degrees everywhere are devalued, even Harvard and Yale so saying a school has shitty academics isnt the end all be all, sorry to disappointed. Also unless you go to one of the schools you are shitting on you should probably just sit down and stop being ignorant.

no shit, this is america where a college education means nothing now, OP is better off finding a legit job out of high school where he can make money and never get the shit load of college loans he won't be able to pay off. Sure PSU and Keene State are fun schools to attend, parties and friends are awesome but shouldn't there be someone calling out the negatives of those places. Otherwise all OP will read is slanted nonsense

Out of curiosity which program are you in at PSU? Was it the same one you would be in at UVM or Champlain?

I, for the most part, agree with your beliefs, unless we are speaking on a technical basis.

I'm currently a BA major at PSU with a completed minor in professional communications (and hopefully a language as well)so my degree from Plymouth would probably hold more weight than the same from Champlain (since it is more of an arts school) and I have no clue what I would have studied if I went to UVM. I mainly turned down the VT schools for financial reasons (aka I didn't want to pay $40,000+), even with a 7,000 a semester scholarship from Champlain, when I could pay half that for instate tuition.

"Calling out the negatives"

You literally said the people were" fucked" and that they have low SAT requirements. That's hardly giving any reasons at all.

At least Randy_Quench over here mentioned that their Business program as well as the Science and Meteorology programs are pretty damn good for a school with 5,000 students. And it' a state school so of course they are trying to draw in as many students as possible. They are trying to grow, that's hard to do with a 15% acceptance rate.

Furthermore, Plymouth offers SO many more courses than Keene. Every person I know that attends Keene says their course selection is shit. And Plymouth has hockey so suck it Keene (that's a joke for those who can't discern that over the internet...)
