Snapped stick

Dropped a tiny cliff and landed forward in deep snow. I did the classic front roll out. My skis didn’t even fall off, it was a super chill fall. I get down to the base and notice I have supper early rise going on, what the hell. 2020 armada arv 106 Bought them new from a local shop in October maybe have 50 days on them. So do you think armada will replace them?

I found Armada's quality since being acquired by Amer has gone down significantly. I'd try and warranty for manufactural defect, worst they can say is no.
 
If they say no, peel the topsheet up from the snap to the tip, then epoxy a foot long piece of fiberglass around the snap Sandwich the ski between multiple cinder blocks and let it sit for a day.

Hope they warranty it tho

This might actually work. I would use loads of epoxy though.

always wanted to see if this worked but I’m glad I’ve never had to.

Did it once to a pair of salomon suspects like 8 years ago but was lazy and cut the topsheet to access the snapped part. Worked for a few days before snapping again. You can only use so much epoxy cause it’ll ooze out the sides when you clamp it, and clamping less hard to fit more epoxy seems like a bad idea imo.

I’ve done a lot of epoxy/fiberglass repair (mostly on boats) and I’ve found that the most important part is that the fiberglass is fully saturated with resin. I usually “paint” a thin coat of epoxy before laying each sheet, rather than globbing it on and waiting for it to saturate.

Might not look great but I used scrap fiberglass I had laying around and bondo resin (way cheaper than epoxy). End result was plenty sturdy and was covered with bondo glass, then bondo. The repaired part actually looked better than the rest of the boat now.

Saturate that mf.
 
These were my blends after less than 30 days on them this January. Line said it wasn't covering this as a warranty for whatever reason. They said I could send them in anyways but the ski shop tossed them when I got my new ones mounted because they were "trash". Even checked the dumpster but the trash guy had came that day. This was after the edges getting fucked anyways so whatever. Don't buy Line skis if you ski hard, that being said if Line sees this I will delete this post without hesitation if you guys want to give me a god damn refund lmao.

Armada really should replace your skis. Their whole niche is super durable park skis, so if they dont replace it kind of puts into question their whole platform to sell skis

I agree, skis should last more than a single season and the fact they snapped landing forward in pow is unacceptable. Im 10+ Seasons beating the hell out of my 4FRNT VCTs, skis should last at least a few seasons.

It doesn't matter if it's a park ski. That kind of impact damage is not covered. You're just too dumb to understand it.
 
Honestly man, I wouldn't count on a warranty and if they do, then it's a mad hook-up on your shop and Armada's part. If you read most brand's warranty policies, they cover only manufacturer's and materials defect, and expressly *do not* cover any sort of damage related to crash or impact... which this pretty clearly is. That being said, if you still want to try, don't go into the shop guns a'blazing and demand a free pair of skis on the spot. Approach it calmly and friendlily, explain that you're a big fan of the shop and the brand, and ask them if there's anything they can do to help you out.

Those can snap easily too. But anyone I know Personally who’s ever snapped one got a replacement from ON3P, shoutout to those guys for that.

Who are you skiing with that easily snaps those? They’re probably the most durable skis on the market
