Smooth Slo-Mo Software

What software do people use to smoothly transition in and out of slow motion? SLVSH uses it for every video, and most of the good edits I see have at least some variation if it. I'm broke as fuck (like every skier EVER), so I'm looking to spend very little, if anything. Thanks guys.

Most people are just ramping in premiere or final cut, you can ramp with audio in after effect, but it takes more time.

I have been using twixtor for a while now. Works great once you get the hang of it.
