SMith Lense colors

ok, im getting a little confused when i look at these lenses...on they site they say this lens is the rede mirror, but when i put them on, its a blue tinge on everything that you see, and they appear to look like a 'rainbow' lense

then i will go and see a red mirror on a Fuse or sumthing and it will appear all red, not rainbow coloured? whats up with that!

bad computer work on smiths part.

ever looked at a oakley fire lens? when you look at it from a different angle, it changes color. has blue and purple in it. i havent had the pleasure of wearing a smith fire lens yet, but in the oakleys there is a kinda blue tint to it when i put em on.

dont worry about it though, those two are the same lenses. just a shitty computer angle they did.

Actually, if you look thru the Smith Red Mirror lens, there is very little of anything that is red. The corners are yellow, and then it rolls into green and purple and then its blue straight ahead or something -- they are downstairs and I'm too lazy to go look, and its not the same colors as on the outside of the lens. Anyhow, so your peripheral vision is a different color than straight ahead. Pretty weird, but they look neat.

Maybe because they Triads are wider than the Fuse, more of the colors come up? I dunno, but Sam is probably right.

You see the blue and purple on the triads because the lens curves a lot more. You can ecen see it change color on the bottom because of the spherical lens.

i have the smith redfire lens and it makes everything blue. my point being that auto sucks. just eat carrots instead. dog.

yeah i thought about that after and i guessed it was the angle casue the triads lense curves more...but i guess it was just looking through it and seeing blue that threw me off.

n e advantange to getting this lense over the permission i already have? better in low light or bright light?

the red mirror is based on a blue lense,.. soooo when you look from the inside out it looks like you are looking through a blue lense. the gradient on the outside is added after. i have the fuse red mirror and you can see all the same colors that you can on the triad version... the only difference is that it doesnt fade top to bottom, only left and right.

it also shows that the triad has more peripherial vision. but what kinda light situation is the red mirror decent for?

are the mirrors in general made for bright light...hence the 'mirror' effect

The Rose Platinum mirrors are pretty good for almost all conditions too though. But the Red mirror sucks ass unless its bright out.

i was trying to pick between the 2 and if the Rose is better all around i will ge it instead of the red
