alright, so i just got my large Smith Holt matte white in the mail. i really like it, except for the fact thats kinda bulky. my last helmet was not like that. anyone notice the same thing? does it look fine once you get out there? also, i really like the giro shiv, does anyone know if that has the bulky look to? thanks people
 
I had the smith holt last year and i agree, its pretty bulky. I just got a R.E.D. trace helmet and it fits much better, and my crowbars fit extremely well with it.
 
Keep the holt, I like mine a lot. Here I have it with crowbars and it fits great:

a bunch of my friends have the holt. ive tried it on and wasnt a huge fan, although i do think it looks pretty sick. i like my trace more tho.
 
When you guys say it is bulky do you mean that it is heavy? or something else? I tried on some helmets at a local store and i thought it was pretty comfy...
 
well for me it just doesn't seem to fit my head right.. wish it did tho, dope helmet. and yeah i thought it was pretty light.
 
when i say bulky i mean like big and wide. it is super comfy and a sick helmet. im thinking about the shiv, but i got this for 60 when the shiv is 90
 
The issue with the holt is that it runs a little bigger than it states in sizing and the shape doesn't fit everyone as good as some of the other helmets For a few bucks more you could get the maze and that is a better fitting helmet.
