!SLVSH! Noah vs Aleksi

Did you watch the game ? Noah used his "rail power" ,and won the game because of it is not against the rules but having two trivia cracked rules damn. The whole game was just about doing their personal favorite tricks which is kind of different than some classy game.

What is your opinion ?

Aleksi definitely played legit but only doing safety slides and handdrags was so boring to watch. I guess if you wanna win you do it however you can, can’t stop people from doing the tricks they want. Its just more of a personal integrity thing that if you know its a rat move you probs shouldnt do it just to win a comp where theres not even prize money lol. Even if it was for money its still kinda wack imo but fuck it go for that bag I guess ?

I have seen the comments of the game so i know my opinion is in the minority but hear me out: have you seen Noah ski? He’s always doing safetyslides, thats his shit, and he makes it look good imo. Should he change his genuine style of skiing because he’s playing slvsh? I don’t think so. Did he overuse it like many say? Idk but he did variations of safetyslide like sw lip, 2 on, sw2 on, right hand left hand.

I get what you’re saying and I wouldn’t say I necessarily disagree with you but you gotta admit it would be pretty wack if Andy Parry won a slvsh cup cuz he only did 5050’s on skinny rails

I agree it would be alittle boring and i kinda get why people ”hate” but what are the niche skiers supposed to do in a slvsh. From what ive seen Noah is not a rail combo god like others so he uses his strength. People good at swaps and b2,4 etc does a million of them in every game. Just because it’s the normal tricks it’s okay to ”spam” those tricks? (im all for that but just using the same logic)

Would be hilarious to read the comments on a slvsh video of andy parry doing his wizard tricks though!

We've discussed this with Vinny as well doing some dumb personal grabs to get letters when its needed. I like watching tricks where riders that know each other and have similar abilities get something for the first time or get pushed to doing so when one person can do it and has confidence this will help progress the competitor. The game should be as much about progression and consistency as it is competition. We saw Noah do more or less the same thing last year too.

Also one last thing ill say is that as much as I personally wouldn’t have done what Noah did, I do feel pretty bad about the YT comments. Like ya its kinda wack but at the same time who really cares. Social media comment kids are so pussy they just see a bunch of ppl dissing and hop on the train and spampost diss comments like fuck off, its so easy to hide behind an alias and a wall of retards.

One of the most balanced games was Matej vs Cody maybe one of the best games

The older grandvalira slvsh cup with quan and henrik is goated...anyone know what the longest game is? I know some of those games ended up having to get pushed to the following morning because the hill closed

SLVSH Cup is a competition at the end of the day. We pay top 4 plus the MVP of the week. So there is money motivation for some people. We would hate to have to implement any rules since thats why we started slvsh. Can you do this trick or not? Thats the basis. Maybe we need to look more into what happens after double trivia crack. Which honestly has maybe happened 5 times in the history of slvsh until this past week. Noah did nothing wrong, that game was an amazing game inn my mind and the way everyone is reacting is pretty un called for. Yea it's a bummer the aleksi got the short end of the stick based on the trivia crack rules but now we know there is something we can work on. Slvsh was created to help skiers who don't fit into the FIS mold to get views and recognition and hopefully help them build careers. If anyone was on the snow with us you would hear Noah stoking the guys out to try his tricks as he wants to see them get them. But once again, its a game, its a contest, you would be fucking weird if you didn't want to win. I honestly see Safety slides all over the internet so it's hard for someone to say it's an absurdly dangerous or hard trick to try.

Coming from SLVSH, we would really appreciate if you guys kept the shit talking to yourselves or just to your friends. No need to spread hate across our channels. It's gross and not only is rude towards Noah, it's rude towards myself and the crew who spend 100s of hours to make this happen with basically zero money for our work. Yea we aren't perfect but no one in skiing is. The down votes and negative shit on YouTube and instagram doesn't help us grow to produce bigger and better content.

Sorry for the rant just bums me the fuck out how over the top everyone is getting over a slvsh game that has amazing skiing in it.

Thanks for caring though

I know it's not necessarily any of you guys talking shit! want to make sure you know that. Just hope it helps. Love you all and thanks again for watching our stuff!

[tag=95835]@Jahhsss[/tag] Thanks for clarifying all that but the only part I disagree with is the negativity thing. If people don’t like something, telling them to keep it to themselves doesn’t help anything. Imagine everybody disliked a game or a way of doing something and nobody said anything. You would lose viewers, wouldn’t know what you did wrong (if anything at all), and the people still wouldn’t fw it on top of all that. Criticism is necessary for any successful endeavour but obviously, like I said earlier, the YT kids are so bitch and should have handle it better I agree on that for sure

Speaking on criticism. Slvsh games have zero integrity when it comes to any press trick. Im tired of seeing reverts getting called as butters and ghost nollies where they don’t actually press off the lip, its not a nollie. Also people don’t know what a tailslide or bluntslide is, and what constitutes a make for those and thats stupid af too like its not that hard fuck sakes

Sorry Joss and slvsh hope u know I love you ??❤️❤️ that wasnt a diss

Noah has a deep bag, watch his older footy he for sure has tech. It was strategy, he's not limited at all. I personally don't like it but seeing people shit on Noah for "not being able to do anything else" has been getting me pissed (you didn't say that but people in the comments have)

Accurate but with a double trivia crack and comments out liking the video itself... its hard to tell if its just people hoping on the hate or people genuinely don't like it (probably some of both). It was however one of the most boring games I've seen and I've watch a ludicrous amount as many one here have. The basis of winning off one trick getting spammed over and over is kinda dumb if you cant do well or get letters any other way. But it is a contest and people will try and win it so it's gonna happen regardless. Some sort of rule on triva crack with same trick all three times may help tone it down but wont stop people from doing it just not to the same degree. Oh well SLVSH is great I'm just happy we got another one.

Should've been a little clearer. I was ranting.

Criticism is very important I agree, just got some pretty crazy messages and comments that were aggressively rude and pretty insane. Not the norm.

We've had had a really hard time getting more popular skiers to come to slvsh cups in the last year. I believe it's the fear of getting exposed or ripped on by kids on the internet is scaring them off from joining us. Or feeling embarrassed by what tricks they choose to do or not. I agree it's great to help skiers and us to know what to work on and what's the current opinion on tricks and ref calls. We've had some insanely bad refs calls before but thats always a shot in the dark. I never really notice until I am on a big screen editing when a bad call has been truly made.. Which is one thing we want to work on and get consistent REF only skiers to help out.

Anyways. Let's keep the conversations going! Just haven't seen that big of a reaction in a while so it got me fired up.

Have rides mentioned that directly to you cause if so that is somewhat concerning. I don't think anyone would mind having no names or people just breaking out come to it? I like the REF only skier thing seems to keep consistency. Would have thought people would kill to get an invite to one of these.

Thats honestly soft af. Another thing about negative comments is that a lot of it is interpreted harsher than it actually is and most ppl exaggerate to be funny or provoking and they don’t actually care that much, its just for likes. If riders can’t handle a bit of criticism I think thats totally bitch and they should get some balls ngl

Sorry man, my point was just to see what was the other opinion. I love slush and would never hate on it but as you said some calls from the refs were sketchy but some refs can handle it really greatly.

Agree man, people need to move on, it's a SLVSH game at the end of the day and people are even spreading negative comments on the newer videos now too.

How spoiled do you have to be to be sending hate messages to the creators of the most innovative and beloved competition that has ever graced this sport. I must come from a different time, but I could never bring myself to publicly complain or expel negativity towards the thing I look forward to the most. Regardless of the level or length of game, I can't remember a single game that I thought was "boring" or a waste of time. Just the fact that every trick is a first try is enough to keep me glued to the screen. I could watch Noah play against himself all day.

All you jaded folks need to realize how much goes into this and appreciate this amazing FREE content. This is still such a small sport that seriously lacks resources and support for what it is and your negativity only drives that further out of reach. Sponsors etc want to see a community of stoke that hype up this product even if you don't think the most recent game was up to your holy standards. That's how SLVSH made it to X games.

So maybe your favourite skier got beat by some repeated tricks you don't like. Oh no! Get over it loser and keep your shit talking to yourself. The next game will probably be fire and you'll forget all about it. This is supposed to be for fun so don't take it too seriously. Oh and did I mention it's FREE?!

Enjoy it (if you can) while it lasts because this may not be around forever, but let's hope I'm wrong about that because it deserves to be.

This is just skiing in general. The amount of sw2 “tailbutters” are getting insane. Most cheat trick oat.

Noah is a g, it's a shame that after skiing well and winning the game the comments are flooded with people saying he didnt deserve it. Also it's not like he did those tricks just for the purpose of winning, that's genuinely how he skis. Not to mention the game was tied up at one point and aleksi had a pretty vicious offense. Super dope game to watch imo

There's nothing else like slvsh in skiing currently so people should appreciate it for what it is. If people want to make comments about a certain call or trick not being valid or whatever then that's fine, but sending hate messages to slvsh is out of order.

Yeah this is all insane to me… I’ve been out of the loop the last week and what’s been happening isn’t chill. Noah likes to ski like that and was hype the whole type stoking up Aleksi. Seems a bunch of people who know nothing about skiing history yapping their mouths behind their screens… It was a good game I enjoyed it.

I understand Joss responding but saying not to shit talk is wack. The peak of freeskiing was the Tanner Vs. Simon dumont rivalry and I pretty much missed it since I was just getting into park skiing. This is what skiing needs more of rather than people not engaging or caring. Everyone says NS is dead yet when people come on here to go off and be active people get mad lol??

If someone shit talk's a video I post etc and they have a point I don't freak out etc. Try not taking things personal and understand people's rational.

In all honesty yes skier's are competitive and trying to win, but Noah called all similar tricks the whole time so you can understand why people will hate on that.

If there's an outlier talking shit which is most of the time you just brush it off; but when there's a large amount of people that are hating and you can understand their rational and reasoning then that's something to look at.
