Slow Mo in FC Express 3

Ive been editing recently and whenever i try to do a slow mo clip, it ends up choppy. i use a canon vixia hf200 camera and final cut express 4. What can i do to improve the flow in the clips.Here is an example...

What frame rate are you shooting at?

it says it shoots at 24 mbps

I looked it up for you and it looks like your camera shoots 60i, 24p, and 30p. If you want to do slomo then 60i is your best bet. 30p is also okay since you can slow it down to 24p for 80% speed, but any slower and the footage gets choppy.
