look at the technical difficulty of the top 3's final runs

charles:

one footer

jons run was not very tech in the rails but add in the jon factor (rediculous style) and that he stomped everythign so clean (especially his 10)

he was definately was superior on the jumps

charles is kind of on par with jons but jon had more rotation and a bit more style (1080)

tanner's spin looked way more hucked and lakced a bit of steeze i think (plus his 10 was kinda sloppy comparitively)

tanner's 450 on 270 out was pretty rediculou, but gagnier did a sw 270 on which is quite badas as well

overall their runs were pretty fuckign even

i have to reiterate the announcer 'i'd hate to be ajudge right now'

i thouhgt tanners ten was sick, looked like deschneaux i thought. but yeah, jon drips style. oh well, its not like im going to be doing any of that any time soon so i guess i dont matter anyway.

if jon would have landed that sw10 in his second run i still say it should have been a three-way tie. but if anything i'd still give it to charles just for being a gracious competitor

like i said in my other post, i think it's the amount of switch stuff that charles did that put him over the top. regardless of his 450on to 270out (which charles sort of balanced out - tanner's lip slide/450on-270out to charles's one footer/270on), tanner's run was just too plain, and him touching down on the last hit probably had some impact on his final score.

when i first saw it, i was like everyone else in saying 'dude, he got robbed' but once you go back and sort of do a play by play of both runs, you can see how charles managed to take away first.
