Slipknot is finnaly coming out with a new cd. ALthough corey taylor isn't goin to be on it. I've heard. which sucks because he has one of the best voices in metal even if he screams a lot.
 
they have talent. the dummer is seriously the fastest in the world. the singer can actually sing and the guitar is extremely good. oh the drummer also mtn. bikes.
 
all that combined, and they still can't play decent music. Are they autistic or something? I've always HATED slipknot.
 
slipknoe is good, i hate that people hate on them because they are so famous.

I thought they were going to split up after subliminal verses?

Oh and Joey Jordison or whatever isn't the fastest drummer in the world
 
No he's not, in metal I'd say Dave Mackintosh (Dragonforce, Bal Sagoth) is up there. Ken Owen (Carcass) was pretty damn quick before he suffered that brain haemorrhage.
 
ive been a fan of slipknot for a while i loved self title and iowa but i didnt really like subliminal verses much and ya i dont think ill like this one at all bc coreys not in it its gay corey has def. one of the most unique voices ive heard in metal ever the drummer is the fastes drummer in the world its in the Guiness book of world records the guitar is fuckin awsome and my favorite song has to be wait n bleed or i am hated and plus nothing beats the fact that slipknot is so heavy and ppl get so into it that everyonce in a while in a mash pit someone will die haha ive heard a few stories of ppl dieing in a slipknot mash its insane

Anyways, I'm not a big fan of Slipknot myself. I think there are much more talented, better-souding bands out there. Granted I would take Slipknot over what 95% of this site listens to, but I'm still going to be a snob about my music.
 
A new cd? Alright more screaming and incoherent guitar and loud noise! Oh and don't forget the clown masks, they really make the music awesome
 
ya i dont like the band, but i have to share this with you all. So i was going to jackson for the weekend just to chill with some buds down there and when my friend and i got there we went to a sushi bar to hang out with our friends that live in jackson. Some how earlier in the day they met up with the clown guy from slipknot that plays the kegs and shit. So they were chillin with him all day. We ended up hangin out with the guy from slipknot for the night, drinkin saki bombs and shit. It was pretty cool partying with a rockstar. He had some wicked stories about the band and the music industry in general. Apparently he was in town for some famous celeb wedding or something. just thought i would share that wicked experience.
 
clow "masks"? i beleive that plural is way out of place, theres only one clown, and the clown is crazy shit... and cory is really good at singing and screaming... joey, not fastest drummer but he is hella talented... and fuck the people that hate them cause their popular, if we all hated music becasue it was popular no one would like music... and the people that say that their music sucks and is just noise has no fucking idea what their talkinga bout, if you listen closely to slipknots music, their shit is well orchastrated, ever beat, every seccond of every peice of the music has its place... its not really a metal band as much as it is an orchastra, cause a band that can have 9 members all doing shit that can make music sound that well is amazing
 
this band would sound equally as shitty with 34 members as it would with 9...and the 9 arent even necessary, i mean sure, you hear the sampling from time to time..but fuck..all they need is their two guitars, drummer, singer and bass, why do they need some dumbass hitting his head off of shit..

slipknot is horribly generic and boring, and screwed over their local scene when they got signed

if your going to listen to metal/hardcore, it shouldnt be slipknot cuz they blow. i have to give props to the drummer tho cuz hes nasty, but if ur going to lsiten to hardcore listen to something real hard like waking the cadaver, its pig growling too so its sick
 
i hate slipknot but i love the drummer??? either you fucken like em or you dont. i personally like them and have been listening to them since they first came out. they are infact damn talented if you ask me. corey can sing so fucken good, the guitar licks are fucken sick and the drumming is out of this world too. they blend together perfectly. what theyve done with 9 ppl can only be done by them. if they went down to 5 ppl it wouldnt be the same. it would just be like every other band out there today.

Its a DVD release, not a cd to clear it up. Slipknot are taking a break and wont be recording anytime soon
 
Slipknot, Disturbed and any band like them sucks complete balls. What a waste of some good electronic equipment/guitars.

say you dont like them, cause they dont suck, they are good musicians...only, the music they make is probably not the type that you like, or you hate the guitar or the screaming or whatever, but we still got to give them some credit for piercing and to play like that
 
i'll admit that they're guitarist and bass player have skill, but the music still blows on epic levels. it's all angst goth evil crap. plus they have a guy who's sole purpose is to bang a trash can with a stick. just hire a monkey.
 
if people like slipknot, thats fine, but i dont think the hate on them is really neccesary. i mean, i fucking hate rap, but i dont need to tell other people that its shit; its music. and as for talking about talent, if u really cared so much about talent, why would you bother listening to any popular music today and buy some beethoven. talent is all too often in the eyes of the beholder.

Sure some rap is cool, rage against the machine made some good music about shooting people up for fun back in the day. But screw that new stuff in the ass with a pneumatic jackhammer.
