im looking at making a summer setup and i am wondering what some good sliding materials are that are not real expensive

look for some hdpe (i think). It's the plastic surfaces that boxes are made out of. Join the build--JIB 101 cult for more info on summer setups

yeah what he said, join the build a jib cult. it can be very useful. Also PVC pipe is the best thing for anybackyard jib setup.

i never thougt of that. i was thinking more along the lines of carpet type stuff but ill look into that idea

depends on what you call slidingsurface, HDPE/pvc is for rails and boxes
astroturf, carpet-stuff, snow and orange fencing is best for in-run and landing....
bur seriously, join build a jib 101

HDPE only works in the winter so go with PVC. for carpet go to the carpet section in lowes and they have big roles and have them cut u a 2 ft wide 12 ft long and its 10$$. than use some woood underneath ur carpet and add some water in it will work like a charm

my guess is that it's slow because you wax it...HDPE doesnt have to be waxed. with some water on the surface it will slide like crazy

i think im gonna use orange fencing because i got two big rolls of it in my garage. ill probably use a pvc pipe

the runins gonna be my deck stairs with the orange fencing on top, and yeah i joined the cult now i didtnt know about it before thx for the advice

not true at all, waxing isnt required either, i use HDPE with just soap n water, works just fine, alltough its softer then PVC i think, so excellent setup would be HDPE with metal grindbars besides (as in real boxes) so your edges dont dig in... But that would be a complicated setup ....in short HDPE works just fine in summer...
