Sliding PVC rail?

Hey i just built a pvc rail using two pvc pipes. Is there anything i need to do so that i can slide it? or should i just throw some water on?
 
spray a lil water or rub some snow in the winter. btw when it snows and ice gets on it it'll slide mad fast
