Sliding on wood

Ok so basically im really cheap and I really dont want to but turf for mt drop in/landing. What would happen if it was just wood and i landed on grass? would it mess up my skis?
 
lol. dont do that. turf will be cheaper than the wood and grass wont hurt your skis just wash them after a day of using them
 
If your looking to stop immediately on the landing there wont be a problem with the grass. the wood inrun would be okay as long as there is turf at the bottom.
