Sleeves...

I think if they are done right with a good design they are pretty dope. But I think they are only cool for a time. Like when your old and your skin is sick what is it going to look like than? Or how do you explain to your Grand Kids the Skull tripping on acid while being crushed by a hammer on top of two sets of tits. That was a little bit of an exaggeration but how do justify actually getting one because you obviously have to know its most likely not going to look good when you get old. This idea did come from the tattoo thread. If we could actually get a serious conversation about this that would be pretty dope too

i did not get what you meant until the end. i thought you meant shirt sleeves so i kept reading that skull acid sentance over and over to figure it out

soo sick

i hate when people get sleeves with dragons, theyre so played. if i gt a tattoo, it would be something important, not just random things all over

Word. I think a tattoo should have some meaning to it also. Its going to be permanent so it shouldn't be something beat

but the real question is should I get long sleeves or short sleeves. Come winter, you might want to invest in a sweater, and that will cost more. You could just roll up your sleeves when it's hot. Surely you can see the logic here.

I think it comes down to what kind of character you have. Are you someone getting them for the sake of getting them- a trend follower. Or do you do your research, be it choosing a style that best fits you/relates to you, or make a completely custom piece with your artist to create something that is truly meaningful to you. I would wait till I retired to get full sleeves, because no matter what people say about tattoos not hindering your chances for employment, they do. Think about your future first, and body mods second.

Personally i'm in the process of saving for dual half sleeves, the designs are all ready, i just need the cash. One sleeve is taken from traditional japanese designs and the other is custom.

half sleeves are hot on any guy, full sleves are generally only hot if the guy is in a band or is a tattoo artist (Not a business man). A lot of the fire fighters I know have half sleeves so they can wear a golf shirt out or around their families, I think that's really cool, especially because their tattoos all really mean something to each of them, they all have stories

that is sick, well done and he def did his research, it's respectful and meaningful, not like a bunch of skulls and shit.
