Slandis on Oakley!

so what, he gets a couple free pairs of goggles and some outerwear from an oakley rep. All the people hating on him need to ease up.

Really?

This isn't some high caliber job, it is sales, usually through experience.

There isn't some scientific algorithm for sponsoring people that only reps can figure out. It depends on where you live. For instance, it is going to be way easier to be sponsored in AK or the midwest for park skiing than it is in Summit County. Geographical relativism is probably the biggest factor in flow sponsorships.

 
there is no way that you would turn down companies like surface and oakely they are huge and would absolutley be a god send to be sponsered by them
 
Alright, I see your point completely. However, the rep that picked him up isn't a nobody (he probably wouldn't have a degree); he is hired by a very successful company (filled with people who do have degrees) to make these types of decisions. All I was getting at by mentioning degrees is that I trust the company more than some no name person on NS.

Sucks for the people in summit county.
 
Ok, lets start hating on someone who is willing to DO what it takes to make it. Then really hate when he actually makes it! Hahaha. Rather than hating, maybe you should take notes on how to make it in this industry. Mr. Tanaka is positioning himself w/ long-term opportunities.
